Pizy 18,917
We get NOTHING from either wing no matter who is out there, nothing from whoever is playing up top, and when Palmer isn’t on it we have ZERO chance of creating anything. Combine that with catastrophic, completely out of nowhere defensive errors every match. It’s complete madness that we went from looking like one of the best teams in the league up until December where we were shredding teams and scoring for fun to this. With the exact same players who are all fit. bigbluewillie

I like it and will continue to follow the club, but I don't think the Chelsea we know will come back. King Kante 1,643
As soon as I saw Sancho and Sanchez in the team I knew it was going to be a tepid performance. Tbh, not that concerned about being KO'd as we weren't winning it. However, the continuation of limp performances has got to reflect badly on the manager. erinblue 27
Teams just close down Palmer & Caicedo & then we have nothing..... almost 20mins gone before knunku touched the ball...at least Jackson gives you an out ball & runs the channels, does nothing with it but relieves some pressure.... nothing comes from the wings ...Sancho afraid to take on anyone, backwards only, afraid to challenge for ball in the box....or outside it for some reason....noni & Neto headless & can't pick anyone out.......Palmer keeps having to come deep for the ball & then no one moves hoping he does something special..... We started the summer putting teams under intense pressure...then stopped....now all teams are doing that to us & if we get outta that they then drop back & sit waiting on a mistake & hit us on the break...we then can't cope cos apart from Neto, Palmer , Sancho, noni and the rest can't defend or want to..... Last 3 months of last year Poch had us playing better & more fkn desire....all of which has deserted us......... We have no leaders, no desire & relying on luck to get us through games like last Monday night.....🙁 Vesper and Johnnyeye 1

ZAPHOD2319 4,819
What is truly sad, I don’t really have a reaction to it anymore. It would ruin my weekend in years past. Now, just another night. It is sad that the passion for this team is being eaten away by mediocrity and an unwillingness by the board to recognize our weaknesses Strike, Blue Armour and DDA 1
Pizy 18,917
If we don’t see some sort of pulse from the team against Brighton again in a few days I may check out until the summer.
Stats 7,142
We were outplayed tonight. Maresca did not have answers. They nullified Palmer for most of the game. Nkunku struggled. Our bench options is so sad to see when you see how strong it was at beginning of season. We have the same team again on Friday. Not confident after what I saw tonight. We looked lost and in second half looked knackered. Strike, ZAPHOD2319 and bigbluewillie

DDA 9,941
Nothing against the lad but when you’re bringing on Tyrique George 1-0 away from home… you know the club has dropped off the edge of a cliff. Everything Roman built has literally been destroyed in the space of 3 years. It’s over guys. It’s actually over. This isn’t an overreaction at all, so don’t even start with the negitive bullshit. Unless the club has a miraculous change of strategy in the summer and go out and buy 4 senior proven players who have top level experience, which we all know they won’t …. It’s over. bigbluewillie, We Hate Scouse and Strike 2
Mário César 1,274
Rationally speaking, there is no shame in losing at Brighton's home ground. it was never going to be an easy game the problem is what has been happening at the club since the arrival of the new board. you can't get excited about anything

Jackson, Guiu both out injured, Lavia & Fofana made of glass, Mudryk suspended, Felix loaned out for some reason with no replacement.

Not sure who else he was supposed to bring on? There were only two choices, Madueke or George as we had no striker on the bench and Felix ran off to Milan. Anyway, feel like the bigger concern for the rest of the season is actually in midfield as there's no rotation available for Caicedo or Enzo. At the start we fly out the blocks, second half is so pedestrian, complete opposite of how we were under lampard, Potter, where the first half was always slow. Tonight, with 10 minutes to go it was as if we were 3 up, sideways passing, no urgency, no leaders - that falls squarely at the owners, manager, club set up. Mhsc 1,097
Sacking Maresca would do absolutely nothing. Start by looking at the players who are letting the team down so badly - and the even worse players who sit behind them who come in to replace them when they get injured, or finally dropped. Ask yourself who bought those players, ask yourself who hired those people, and who created the strategy for the club. There is a clear line of accountability and responsibility there. Maresca has for sure made mistakes but overall he is the only leader at the club that I trust at all other than Joe Shields.

It makes absolutely no sense right now unless things became dire. At this point, I serious hope those at the top are still bickering with one another, so an investor with some clue about the game comes in.
