Blue Armour 4,459
I will only accept this if Hutch is our 1st-TEam RB in 2 Years of time, when he is 24... this would be absolutly astonishing... what a Story this would be for him...And what if he doesn't? I'm all for Hutchinson reaching the highest of heights, but you have to remember how lucky he is to be even playing at this level..

He will never play consistently and it would be unfair of us to even try and play him so.

I think he injured himself in his first traning session when he was seven...

Ollie 4,400
Read a lot about this. This actually looks nailed on to happen for about £6m. Another Brazilian and can play along side Luiz (RB CB) but every time i think of him, i think of Bale raping him. He scores the odd wonder goal too but i'd have him as a winger, not a RB. Maybe he's being signed to play higher? I'm not convinced with this at all. He's also 30. Not a good move.

Plus he won't play RW, that's just stupid.
Ollie 4,400
It was a two off actually. The way he was exposed horribly each time Bale even tried to go at him which was when he was 28.... now he's 30 everyone will go at him. For me, Maicon's career revolves around those Tottenham games and i will always remember those games when i think of him which wont change. For each of those games there is a dozen world class performances.

Oh God, it looked as if JT's career was over.I think our board is not that stupid, they know what they are doing. I hope really hope so.

Joelasticot 111
When the tactics are bad, the players look bad. Simple as that. Don't you guys think ash would have got caught by munich's right side players had he been the only player trying to block the runs on our left side? If you leave space to a sprinter like bale there is just no way he is not going to abuse it. Remember the whole vidic is poor against nando thing? Haven't players like ramiresmade world class defenders look like shit? It's all about the way.the game goes and how you want your players to deal with certaim threats. Then again if a guy like bale was never able to use his.strenghts to his full advantage the just because there are good defenders on the pitch thenn football would be a.strange game wouldn't it? It's like saying cech is a bad keeper because cisse score two screamers against us.When the situation gives a clear advantage to the attacking player to use his strenghts you cannot always expect the defender to come out on top and save the day. Although I guess our recent performances in the cl have gotten us used to things goimg the other way around.

Muzchap 8,966
Hmm I for one will be sad if we don't sign him.Fact: he has been one of the most consistent players over the past years. Ok he had a wobbler against Bale - but he probably thought who's Bale? And didn't take it seriously, best thing to happen to a defender, now he knows to research his opposition and make sure the doesn't happen again.Who can also forget JT being skinned alive against Liverpool? JT made Carroll look world class that day, does that mean JT is a bad player - No!!!I worked with SI Games the guys who make Football Manager, and currently the guys making FIFA, whilst stats are one thing in games - everybody knows experience is crucial...Maicon would be great for a few seasons and really help blood the youngsters it's a win win for everybody - and do a Man City, keep him as a coach afterwards, kinda hoping Drogba comes back after China too, to do the same thing
KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
I think we're still the favourites to sign him (Thankfully). I don't believe the Madrid links.
