Welcome Mauricio Pochettino

Sacking Pochettino will not solve the problem, Pochettino is not the core, the problem is not tactical on the pitch, it is at a structural level and comes from the owner  it was the same chaos with Potter  . Whinstentley and Stewart should to be sack they are incopetent they have never been to a top club before. Hire elite directors like United do direct from citeh showing what level they want to be take top manager and then we can speak . Sacking Poch just to get another mid coach like De Zerbi , Tomas Frank it won't change anything with that sctructure in the club .

I agree with @milkasacking right now won't solve the problem.

Continue with him and continue to adjust the recruiting. Owner and board made a lot of bad calls in transfers which is very bad. City and Liverpool are good because they build a team together with a manager. You can't do that, so is best to keep Poch and build the team for years to come. Work with him for 2 or 3 years as the owner and the board are real noobs.

I don't think we should wait 2-3 years with Poch - this should be his last chance, with running out of excuses - players are slowly coming back from injuries, he had half a season to implement his tactics (without european cup to disrupt trainings), and this transfer window was very calm with just slimming down a squad a little bit, not allowing it to be bloated again.

Even if we had a great squad and owner , Poch still isn’t top standard , he won’t win you anything. If our goal is to win PL and CL titles which it should be, then he will never be good enough, might as well sack him now along with the medical team

Apparently, Potch asked for a striker, and they got rid of Broja instead 🙄

This club is finished under these owners.

Huge talk about FFP rules being broken if we don't manage to sell £100m worth of players by June, too.

This is the very end of our club as we knew it under Roman. It's over. It's actually over. We can pretend it's going to get better, but it's not is it. We are now set to endure a decade plus of mediocrity, and there's not a glimmer of hope for us to cling onto.

It'll be very easy for this club to raise 100m.

Do you think clubs will pay top dollar for our players if they realise we are in a financial crisis? Absolutely no chance... they will be circling like vultures when that day comes. Wouldn't be surprised if we saw Gallagher, Reece James, Colwill, Humphreys, and others all sold in the summer.

Even for lowest possible fee we will easily get 100m for Gallagher, Maatsen, Broja, Chalobah. Not worried.

I still stand by what I said before in regards to Potchs ridiculous squad selection after the pre season.

Angelo

Santos

Casadei

Should have stayed from the beginning and given serious chances.

Instead he chose Sterling and Ugochukwu.

Brain dead.

flashback........................

Mauricio Pochettino dismisses Chelsea's new £23.5m signing Lesley Ugochukwu as 'a player from France that they sign for some loan' in a thinly-veiled dig at the Blues' transfer policy as he pleads for more midfield additions

  • Lesley Ugochukwu passed his medical and will sign a long-term deal at Chelsea
  • Mauricio Pochettino has revealed Ugochukwu will go on loan upon his arrival
  • Chelsea still want to sign a more experienced central midfielder as well

We aren't in a financial crisis.

Clickbait nonsense to have something to talk about. The club knows money. You can slander the ownership all you want, but they know money management.

I'm actually not worried about the club long term, but it is frustrating with our stretch of wins/losses now compared to us at our top. A lot of us aren't used to not winning anything. We are spoilt and haven't had a proper build in a while.

I hardly think this is current managements fault anyway. Our 4-5 windows before them coming on board were horrific and the start of our decline. Talent wise, signing wise, etc - we are way ahead now of where we were 3-4 seasons ago.

But how can you definitively say we are better?

4 seasons ago we were a top 4 side. Under Lampard of all managers.

You need a magic ball to say that all the young talent that we have is going to magically hit new heights next season.

If the new management is serious about FFP, like you say, then the next window will be quite slow, in order to balance the books. The lack of European football for two consecutive seasons is going to leave a dent, for sure.
