The answer is there's no time to panic because ultimately what difference will it make? The outcome will remain the same whether you wet the bed over it or not mate. Just seen some serious hysteria on here of late and find it quite amusing/daft! Not trying to be Billy big bollox about it just see no sense in getting so worked up over all the nonsense that's touted about. Absolutely spot on. Some of the posts on here are just laughable we are fans football clubs pay lip service to fans at best. All this I want to know why we haven't got a new manager why haven't we bought so and so forget it what happens happens moaning on a forum is pissing in the wind. And please don't reply with Liverpool have done this Man United have bought him we are Chelsea and making lazy comparisons to other teams is pointless. ulsterchelsea, AK-3001, Tomo and 2 others
Superblue 6,372
It'll be interesting to see what happens tomorrow now. I guess the club could tell Conte to hold off tomorrow and get some of the club coaches to take training, the first couple of days at least will likely mainly revolve around building fitness up anyway. Also I assume after the club did some social media welcoming the players back on Saturday, they wouldn't necessarily need to release any pictures or clips of training tomorrow if they didn't want to. Ultimately though if anything shows Conte taking training tomorrow I cannot see a way to back out of this. It would be a huge PR blunder to 'lead Conte on' all summer that he would still be here only to sack him a few days into pre-season. It looks silly and disrespectful. Having said that waiting to sack him until the eve of pre-season isn't much better!

Having a forum and moaning about something that's completely out of our hands is a different matter. Chelsea have always been a basket club of a club nothing ever runs smoothly old geezers like me accepted that years ago and I think some of our younger fans should whether grudgingly or not accept it as well. bigbluewillie and ulsterchelsea

Just like of you see siumet that happens on the pitch, we get up and shout holy hell. Nobody is listening and even less cares what we think. But at the time it feels better for having done it. Well it doesn't make me feel any better having whined, winged and pouted about how the clubs disappointing me but its better out than keeping it in.I know I should be used to the constant stream of shite the clubs poured on us over the years but I never do seem to be able to take in any easier. With the fans then sayin "should have kept Conte" I wouldn't exactly go with humorous but this whole episode, if Sarri does join, will put so much needless and unnecessary pressure on him because it's now got to the point where he's being built as the messiah. To be honest if he can keep us challenging within the top 4 for the next couple of seasons, win a cup alongside it perhaps, whilst introducing an exciting, attacking brand of football, I would be pleased with this as it would give us a new strong base to work from moving forward based on vibrant, attacking football as opposed to a steely, organised, conservative approach. On the flip side it does bode well that if we do go through all this to finally secure him, it'll show how much the club wanted him and hopefully as a result will give him the time and patience he may need to get his ideas across to the players. With the fans then sayin "should have kept Conte" I dont think for a moment that Sarri is going to have some magic wand and 'just like that; we will be all conquering but what I do hope is he just gives us a different way to play.. When Conte came after those 1st few games that he was still seeing what he had to work with we started paying some absolurly cracking football that I for one loved watching. yjem for various reasons that all concerned played their parts it went tits up. But now hopefully we might just have a chance to start playing some exciting football again Its not gonna happen overnight and theres not a chance of us even competing let alone play exciting football with our current squad. But if we do manage to buy a few who van at least show our powers that be what we could achieve then just maybe it might get us turning a corner on how we do business iin the future. Or I could just be feeling optimistic because I've got bloodshot eyes and drank far too much Jim Beam. I do hope tho that we get some good news today. Eidur the Spider 4,515
It is understood Conte held meetings and, unless the situation changes, will fulfil the final year of his contract. (BBC) #CFC Fernando

Popular Post! Eidur the Spider 4,515 Posted July 9, 2018 Popular Post! Share Posted July 9, 2018 Surely we won't sack a manager once preseason gets under way it’s far too disruptive. The longer this goes on and the lack of noise coming out of Chelsea officially leads me to think now Conte will see out the last year and we will get someone in next season. What I am mad about is how Hazard needs to be appeased by signings or a type of manager. This culture of player power is very frustrating. Apparently the rule of “no ones bigger than the club” stops when you’re Eden Hazard. Johnnyeye, Adnane, Cosmin and 2 others
Polo7 3,496
This situation is just a mess. From top to bottom. If he was always going to fufill his final year of contract then why not come out and back the manager?? Makes zero sense.
Alabama 1,992
Lol.... That means I should get prepared to suffer without the ball then... More of Bakayoko and Fabregas....wow... As it stands I better not bother to watch Chelsea because watch as Fulham that plays xciting football batter us without the ball... More still the manager will even care no less cos he knows he isn't wanted seeing the last year of his contract.... xPetrCechx
Milan 17,963
The board paid fortune for the likes of Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zappacosta who did not improve us or move forward at all, but are hesitant to pay for the sacking of someone who almost begged to be sacked and appointing someone who could actually change a lot. Suffer without the ball, my ass. I hate the board so much.
