Conte's Juventus sucked ass in the Champions League. Allegri took charge and they got into the final.

Also, when Conte won the Serie A titles there wasn't other good teams in the league. Now Napoli, Fio, Inter are starting to get better, back then Juve was like PSG in France.

I would be glad if we appointed Allegri.

Conte was actually the one who installed the 3-5-2 formation in Juve and his was indeed similar to the one Rodgers tried at Liverpool

Juve's current system though, is different than those two 3-5-2s. It's a lot more dynamic and fluid and can turn into 4-4-2 instantly with Evra dropping back to make a back four and either Assamoah or Pogba can play left midfield. And it's always a 4-4-2 in defense.

Plus, for large parts of last season and on a few occasions this season, Allegri has played 4-4-2.

I'm actually very excited to get either of Conte or Allegri because I'd really like to see us play with up top again. I think it's prime time to go back to that.

You mean 2 up top correct? Cause I absolutely agree with you and this whole post.

Yeah, I've noticed that the 4-4-2 is coming back into fashion. Funny how the game runs in cycles like this.

So far I've enjoyed @CHOULO19 proving everyone wrong about their presumptions on Conte, Allegri and Juve. Keep it up soldier.

Haha To be fair, I do have a clear advantage watching Juve weekly. I'm just happy I can add stuff most on here don't know about this particular debate.

The diamond 4-4-2 or the flat 4-4-2 does Allegri play??

More flat. The second striker (Tevez last season, Dybala this season) often either drops into the hole to link up when needed, or runs beyond when the taller/stronger striker steps up to win long balls. It's rather hard to defend against the two different approaches. We (Chelsea) ourselves have struggled against this many times, especially against smaller teams.

Thanks for the info regarding all things Juve.

If you were to choose. Who would be your Chelsea manager next season? Between Allegri, Simeone, Conte, Sampaoli, etc

Griezmann could fit in that role ?

Tough one. As I've already said, I'd take Allegri over Conte, though would be happy with either here.

Simone is obviously a great proven manager, but I personally don't like him. I feel he's like the Diego Costa of managers! :P So that's just a personal preference nothing technical about it.

Sampaoli has undoubtedly done wonders with Chile, but he's never managed a club in Europe before and I'm not sure Chelsea is a good place to start. Just feel he might be a bit overwhelmed and needs time to adjust and we all know how much time is offered here...

Griezmann would be perfect, though I would not at all be upset if he decides to bring Dybala with him! :D

I love Simeone and I often pointed out that Simeone represents everything what Chelsea stands for.

Concerning Conte and Allegri, I definitely rate Allegri higher than Conte.

I don't get the fuss about Conte. He won a league with no real opponent and underachieved in Europe. He isn't exactly doing miracles with the Italian National Team either. I don't get the hype. Let's not neglect some shambolic performances of Conte's sides (Nordsjaelland!) I like Conte as a person but that's it.

The fact that he's like Diego Costa is a bonus for me! We're gonna need a big personality and inspirational leader to battle with the superstar managers that our rivals will have.

Would be glorious to watch him get under the skin of the likes of Wenger and Pep who are obsessed with "pure, pretty" football. What a boost in confidence it would be for Costa and Tibo to work with him again as well.

For sure, especially given that Costa is the ideal striker for Simeone's system and together they make for one hell of a match-up. Unfortunately for us though, it looks more likely that they will be reunited at Atleti than here.
