The Next Manager?

@Pizy to further expand. Blackburn, Villa, Leeds, Sunderland, Rangers are examples of abysmally run clubs of the top of my head, while i can accept we have issues you surely can't think we are in that type of company?

Can someone explain what does that even mean? A release clause that expires in 2 days? So what is going to happen if no one pay the release clause before that dealine? Napoli will pay one more year of salary for a manager that is already sacked? Thats one of the most absurd things I've ever read about football in ages, because its pretty obvious that there is no such thing as release clause that expires in x days. If a manager is no longer needed, and another team want to hire that manager, the only rational option for the club is to release the manager for free, other than paying one year of useless salary for a manager that is already fired.

Its the kind of news that if you think two seconds about it you realize it just doesn't make any sense. It just the old tactic of creating drama in exchange for clicks.

Yeah I don’t understand it either. It’s a confusing one - nothing has been made clear as to what happens after that date. Does the release clause increase? Does it go away? Does it mean he can’t resign? Nothing’s been made clear.

Hahahahahahahaha dude please stop watch NiiNii fc... the guy is never right and is just trying to make money off of the fact that no one knows what the club is doing... Nothing gets leaked at Chelsea.

How would you know unless you watched as well? :P

niiiniii fc aside, this is a tactic that is used all the time in football negotiations, it's nothing new...

As to him, I typically watch some of his videos to just catch up on the latest gossip. Anyone in their right mind would know he's not some sort of in-the-know insider but he does a good job aggregating the latest rumours. Don't always agree with his opinions but I think he's right in this case... not saying anything got leaked, just using logic to try to make sense of the gossip.

If we end up with sarri, that will mean that the blanc interest was just a bluff as I suspect it is, we'll see...

Relative to the size of our club we're run poorly. True, we aren't diabolical like those you've named. All I'm saying is that a club as big, rich, and successful as Chelsea is we shouldn't be stumbling and bumbling like we have been. Only due to masterful coaching have our boards' shite work been masked in 2 of the pervious 4 seasons.

I found some tweets on Sarri situation while checking replies of football-italia.

As I said it just doesn't make any sense. Basically a non story. Its obvious that for Napoli after that deadline, they won't pay a manager that is longer needed, so if any club is willing to hire Sarri, its obvious Napoli will let him go, because it just does not make any sense to waste money on someone who is no longer working for you AND in such situation no club in the world would pay the release clause of a manager that is already fired, because Napoli will let him go for free. Sarri situation is basically the same situation of any manager that is sacked before the end of the contract. For example, if any team want to hire Conte, theoretically they have to pay Chelsea a release clause, but since Conte is no longer needed, Chelsea will just let him go for free and will also avoid paying  one year of salary for a manager that is fired.

I don't even know why such a thing have to be explained because its obvious: "Once the clause has expired, Sarri has to terminate the contract with Napoli by mutual consent, which means negotiating a way out."

Not believing it for one second but IF we do go after Laurent Blanc, heads need to roll at board level. Hell, there should be a proper protest at Stamford Bridge. No one seems capable of making a decisive, well informed, swift decision and no one seems to have any direction of what to do either. How long can we really tolerate this inadequacy? Even our best players have started to lose patience! Said in a previous post, it has been 1 1/2 weeks since our season ended and we are still trying to sort our manager situation. Do we want to keep Conte or sack him and go after Sarri? What exactly do we want? It is so frustrating to see the other sides - Liverpool, City, United and hell, even Arsenal - start making signings or close in on players while we are trying to penny pinch (fucking penny pinching!) over 8 million (EIGHT!)! Do the board even realize we basically have only 2 months to prepare for next season? And that's without mentioning the distraction of World Cup in that period. Nothing good lasts forever but the way the club have operated in the last 5 years in comparison to the 5-8 years before that has been diabolical.

I think this is how we all feel on the situation. It's diabolical. The only thing that could possibly change our minds is if we announce Sarri by the end of the week along with the signing of a top midfielder, winger and striker.

Laurent Blanc re-emerges as dark horse candidate for Chelsea job

Or is he just a bargaining chip in the Sarri saga?

From Sarri to Blanc. There is no concrete vision or direction in the club, the same way they hired Mourinho to manage young flair players they'd signed before - incompetence. Like bringing muslims to a christian church.

Chelsea ditch Sarri due to 8 million clause and now going for Blanc is all over twitter.

 Yet they have no qualms paying OTT for shit like Drinkwater and Bakayoko. GTFO  They should rename the club to Chelsea Comedy Club.
