No, he needs to ply his trade elsewhere first.

As good as he has done with the youth set up, managing Chelsea youth teams is the equivalent of managing Celtic!!

So you want two blokes without a minute of managerial experience to be in charge because they used to play for us ?. Straight from the BT studio to the dugout for Lamps and promote Morris who has the pick of the best young players and frankly anyone could do a decent job. Just can't see Jody Morris becoming a first team manager of any club unless he's had a road to Damascus type conversion attitude wise he was the epitome of the Billy big bollocks footballer.

Genuinely don't know what they're doing, so CFC are now a mid-table side that won trophies in a weakened league recently (with Leicester City between BTW).

It really does feel like that. Surely Roman must be looking at what City are doing and realise that we should have achieved this end result whilst still winning the trophies that we have won under his reign. It could have been done. We had the perfect opportunity to build a squad like theirs after winning the Champions League but for some reason unbeknown, he has decided to employ the clueless to run this club.

I'm extremely torn about this and could understand the Chelsea board having reservations over which route they take. The facts are whether people like it or not, we win trophies and have been now consistently for years. Even in a period of transition where we've let some of the best players in the history of our club leave, and not been as competitive in the transfer market as the Manchester clubs, we've still won the league twice.

I love the idea of building a long term plan and project but the facts are there are only a handful of trophies that can be won each year and whilst the media laud Klopp and Poch and the sides they've built at Liverpool and Spurs, both still haven't won anything yet and may never do so. It was something touted about Arsenal a few years back when they had a young team that they would be a force in 2-3 years time and it never came to fruition.

What I would like to see as a minimum is a strategy implemented at the club which will see an element of consistency in its transition between managers. We go from one 'top' manager to another without their styles and tactics being remotely similar at times and as a result we have a squad which lacks an identity. It is where football people on the board are needed. A manager and players are brought in to fit the style and strategy, which can also be implemented at youth levels too, which would hopefully improve the chances of players making it into the first team squad. Then even if a manager doesn't work, or only lasts the 2-3 year average that it now seems across the country, the club is far better set up to keep pushing forward. As opposed to the confusion and mess it appears to be right now.

next big thing? havent we been there and done that with AVB in 2011? Its a bold move again but wont happen because the club will panic and not back the manager. Also David Wagner? No chance.

I do not get the Hype about Sarri. The next big thing? He is 59 and has not won a single top-flight trophy or cup in his career. Nor will he. He kinda choked away the serie A title twice. Also I do not see how his individualistic style and persona fit our strange board.
