Not to mention his woeful record in Europe. We'd effectively be throwing away the UCL pedigree this group have got if we rehire him. I wouldn't have him back anyway out of principal (will never forgive his behaviour in the last months) but that is a huge red flag also. cosmicway 1,333
Every manager we know has been sacked from somewhere. Pep from Barecelona for example. The special one from everywhere but he is still hopping around. However my man of the hour is Unai,
Pizy 18,952
It’s clearly going to be Naglesmann. I’m content with that but not really excited. I desperately want Chelsea to appoint a coach who when before they even arrive you know what sort of football and philosophy to expect. I have no clue what Naglesmann’s style or characteristics are since I haven’t watched German football. His Bayern side pretty effortlessly brushed aside some massive teams in this seasons UCL, but apparently he’s been mediocre in a shit Bundesliga. Is he an upgrade on Potter? Probably. Is he someone who I look at and think “thank God, we have a proper manager who will have us competing at the top again?” Not really. I think it would be beneficial for us and Nagelsmann if he comes now. He will assess players and our huge group so we already have idea what to do in the summer. No pressure on results, let him meet the players, club and then we start from zero in the summer. Fernando

mkh 600
I don't think Luis Enrique, Mourinho or Zidane are going to be the coaches the old regime would have considered and they don't fit the new pattern of Chelsea FC. I think it will be one of Nagelsmann,Pochettino or Amorim has always been well liked even if little experience at top clubs. With De Zerbi and Glasner, it would be the same as it was after the Tuchel dismissal and the Potter appointment, again too little experience in top teams even if they do a top job at their current clubs. Flick will not leave the German national team because a home European Championship in 2024 is just around the corner.

Duppy Conqueror 1,543
I thought after the mini revival before the Everton game it would take a longer run of dropped points to put Potter back on the hot seat but maybe TB was waiting for Tuchel to become unavailable before pulling the trigger as didnt want to face calls to rehire him.maybe not but just throwing that out there.. Pizy 18,952
Gun to my head I’d probably rather Poch than Naglesmann because as stated he’s “safer.” Nags I could see being brilliant or a deer in the headlights like Potter who is shell shocked about what he’s experiencing. NikkiCFC 8,334
With Enrique you know it would be 433 but who knows with Nagelsmann. He mostly played 4231 in Bayern but in Leipzig 352, sometimes 3421... Worked with Nkunku who was left AM in 3421

This team is struggling and needs a fresh start after a longer break. The hype would disappear after a few bad performances in the last 10 games which is very likely since a manager cant change things so quickly. Lets just start all over in June. Hype doesn't win you games. He can come in and implement his football immediately and identify which players would be poor fit for his team. There is no pressure, top 4 is not happening and everyone expects Madrid to win against us.
