So....I wonder how we're going to handle the keeper situation in preseason? What would be the point in continuing to play Kepa if he won't be here? And if he does start these early games surely he'll stay?

Seeing as no keeper seems to be close to joining I wonder if Willy will just be used so he can start the season until one is bought.

Don't think anything can be judged in our season. As per usual I expect plenty of changes and mixtures of players

We will buy a gk for sure , but not worldclass. If we didn’t sign   Havertz we could  go for Oblak (same fee ) . But I believe onana or cakir or someone else .

I think we'd have to sell 2 of Barkley, Kante, or J5 in order to sign Rice. And we've heard nothing about any of those leaving, really.

I am slightly worried that we will stay with Kepa for this season and will go all out for Oblak next Summer. If so, he will lose us a lot of points...

I wouldn't worry about the GK too much. It is clear the club are fixing the issues with the squad properly this year. GK is the one position where you can pretty much drop someone in straight away without any real issues. At worst, I would expect a Ben Foster who, when we take into consideration all the other signings, would be perfectly fine for a season. 

As for Rice, things appear to be moving Wet Spam forums are currently resigned to the issue. Apparently, they all feel that it is a foregone conclusion as they need about three or four players. Hopefully, we can get a deal done that involves one or two of our players.

If Declan Rice is a real possibility this window then I could see Kante being the one sold to fund it. There's been some rumours recently that Conte wants him at Inter, and I could also see PSG possibly looking at him if they know we're willing to sell this window.

As good as Kante has been at Chelsea, Rice is far more suited to play that holding role in midfield that we're lacking.

Perhaps a year playing that role, whilst Thiago Silva is here and then next summer the club can re-assess the situation (whether a new holding midfielder is brought and Rice moves to centre back, or we buy a new centre back and continue Rice in midfield).
