Atleti are suddenly about to sign this David Hancko guy who plays as a hybrid CB/LB just like Veiga.

So I guess that move is off the table for us. Wonder what’s next for him then. We obviously wouldn’t be attempting to sign Hato if Veiga had any way back in to our team. So he’s got to have some move lined up.

Atletico Madrid are pushing ahead with signing Hancko as financial package is cheaper than what Chelsea request for Veiga. Chelsea insist on £35m package.

We been too greedy with now cost us money. No way Renato Veiga price should be 40m. Max 30m

I'm massively against this. I think that Tosin has deserved more minutes than he was granted last season but that is not the reason I say we need to keep him. He's just a great person to have around: -

  • A squad needs players who accept that they won't start all the big games. Tosin seems reconciled to that.
  • He is a calm, sensible head.
  • He seems to be good for Palmer.
  • He has quickly become one of the elements which bind the squad together. He has the character and the intelligence to embody the ethos of the club; to be the person who commands the respect of his fellow players.
  • If he is not a regular starter then he probably can't be match captain, but I can see him in a 'club captain' role.
  • He is better in front of a camera than pretty much anyone else in the group who comes to mind right now. He can develop into a person that is one of the faces of Chelsea.

Very unique player 🙂

Rodrygo or Simons would probably have the most immediate impact but Rogers long term may have the most potential simply due to his physical tools. Yildiz I really like but need to see him for another season feels slightly too soon for a massive money move.

It’s understood Chelsea are ready to pay £44m (€50m) for Hato but Ajax are holding out for around £52m (€60m)
