So Chilwell and Silva seem all but done. If we can finally get Havertz over the line (which I'm still nervous as fuck about) and can get even a solid, not even spectacular keeper this will be the greatest transfer window in our history. Perfect blend of young talent who are not even near their primes yet and veterans who have seen it all.

And we can have most of our business done and dusted before some big clubs even do anything of note. Liverpool have signed a backup LB. City have signed a couple of decent but not top class players. Arse have signed 32 year old Willian and are about to sign an uncapped Brazillian who was wanted by nobody else but Everton really. Spuds have signed an average midfielder from Southampton. United have signed nobody at all.

If all these signings click from the start we have something special.

With every signing we make, the pressure on Lampard increases like 10x more than before to get things right this coming season. No more struggling to finish in the Top 4, have to finish comfortably in there and close the gap on the top two as well as maybe win at least one of the cups.

Great. Happy about Silva. I was more concerned about PSG giving him suddenly a new contract but now he confirmed he is leaving so no chance Fiorentina win race against us.

Surely his best pal David Luiz told him some good stuff about us. And this is the reason why we fans should always treat ex players with respect.

the good thing is that Silva hates to play in a back three and Luiz is only good in a back three as the centre CB nowadays

so zero chance Luiz can swing him to Arse (if that is even a thing, which I doubt, they have shitty EL next year)

Yeah, no chance he goes to Arse. They bought two new CBs but he will definitely be a regular guest at Babbo. In fact, he was already there.

I agree. No excuses for us this season if these moves materialize. Winning the title I think will still be beyond us simply due to having basically a whole new team. City and Liverpool are the finished article after years of building. So they'll still be the top 2 most likely. The season will be grueling due to COVID so those teams that are more gelled will benefit.

But as you say, we should be comfortably finishing in the CL places with multiple games to spare. And making a deep run in the CL (like last 8 or better).

See right there mate.

First you think these two are all but done, and if this drags for another week or two, you will panic like with Kai.

No transfer is done until its offical.

Thiago is everything we wanted Jorginho to be. That is a proper controlling midfielder that can dribble, move, pass and Tackle. Sign him up

Thiago was best outfield player on the pitch.

Only costs £23 million yet we hear nothing of bids flying in from all over Europe. The man walks into virtually all teams.

Well if you can find a buyer for both Kante and Jorgi then we may be able to do something.

Thiago A has 3 or maybe even 4 top years left

It seems like Middle-Class  Transfer lol

Upamecano abailable 54m 2months ago lol

well, we dodged at least one (Dunk)

and surely we are not serious about Foster unless it is a pure backup GK

Upamecano should be at the top of our CB list in summer 2021

cheers

Thiago is not leaving Bayern to come here. Need to be realistic here. It's either Liverpool or Bayern.

but their cheap as fuck yank owners, FSG,, are refusing to cough up the £23m

I SO hope they run that fucking club into the Merseyside alluvial dirt

They didn't have the money for Werner so I'm not surprised. Switched from the more expensive Jamal Lewis to that greek fella as well. I mean it's understandable. He only has a year left on his contract and he's 29 yo. Only wants to join Liverpool so it's not like Bayern have much leverage.

There isn't talk about his salary demand though.

He is 29, if our team is ready for title contention I will take him but we aren't
