I’d bite their hand off if they want Madueke. I’m sure he’ll have sporadic flashes of brilliance there like he has here but he will inevitably stink it up more often than not. If we can make a sizable profit on him whilst simultaneously stopping Arsenal getting an actual top winger it would be fantastic business.

I thought the Osimhen deal fell through because his agent wanted ridiculous wages, which was above the club's wage structure.

And then somehow he ended up in Turkey of all places

That's what we are lead to believe. Either way, I'm sure we could have come to a reasonable agreement for one of the best CF's around. £165kpw for someone of his calibre was insulting.

Plettenberg is reporting that talks between us and Arsenal have started for Noni

Arsenal actually want an ex-spurs youth captain in their side?

I doubt we get that much unless Newcastle get in but then again he will want arsenal over Newcastle.

Exactly, Arsenal are only starting talks with Noni after the Gittens/Pedro transfers.  They know our attackers won't be happy with less minutes next season.

I don't see it going over 50 million unless Newcastle drop out of the Elanga race and put in a bid themselves.

Anyone else worried about no of new players coming in? We can't replace half a squad every summer (and sometimes winter) and expect them to integrate without a problems:

- Sarr

- Santos (he spent 2 preseasons with us, but I still count him as new), Essugo

- Estevao, Gittens, Pedro, Delap

That's 7 players already, with rumors of GK, LB, CB, another AM, that would take us to 11 new players, with 2 new players already ready to be included for next season- Quenda and Paez.

Until last week the brief was we will do minimum incomings - GK, CB, LW, ST

But every transfer window, do the directors get a high out of getting involved in the market?

50/60M for Noni we must snap their hands off

Instantly undermines all the work we put in to make Noni a Premier League regular. I actually think the interest in him is not surprising and we should really keep him for continuity. Works well as a winger in Maresca's system.

Gets a lot of flak on here and can be frustrating, but not to the extent of Sterling.

Causes all sorts of problems for opposition defence, they often have to double up on him. hes a keep for me.

Argh your making me reconsider Madueke.

He has the potential but his attitude.....

I'd be fine with us keeping Noni for another year but also i only ever considered him a short term 2-3 year signing so for a decent profit i'd be ok with that too..we would still have Neto,Gittens,George,Estevao with Quenda coming next year and other players in our current squad that can do a good shift out wide if required.

Likes of Jackson,Noni and a few others are more experienced than some we have brought in but do they really use that experience?

Noni is ordinary at best and he’s a one trick pony, his attitude isn’t great, him and Jackson can go for me all day long, not sure why he goes to arsenal though to play behind saka and the other young kid they have

If there is any reason he can go tbh it is defos his attitude. Got sort of Ronaldo vibes in terms of selfishness/demanding taking pens etc but doesn't back it up with the numbers/performances.

That said I overall like Noni and sort of semi believe in Project Noni. I have enjoyed having him in a way I didn't really with Sancho. At least I can see the point in Noni Madueke. He just isn't executing well enough yet.
