There were literally reports like a day ago saying he wants to remain at Como and continuing to build that team. It would actually be refreshing to see him remain at least for another season rather than these former players making the step up at any opportunity (Motta - failed, Kompany - joke league, etc).

That, in my opinion, is mostly due to the owners' readiness to spend a lot of money on players. We may be in a far better situation both financially and on the pitch if they stopped spending £50–80 million on poor players who COULD be the next this or that.

Sell him imo

Need the cash more than we need a CB that can't play at CB (or in any clear position). Obviously has talent and there will be buyers. Maybe in 5 years we'll regret it but in the near term its the right move.

Stick in a big sell on clause and move on.

I feel there's no chance of any club spending £70m+ and agreeing to a big sell one. 

If Konate leaves Liverpool, they could seriously push for Colwill again.

Chelsea are expected to sign a striker this season with neither Christopher Nkunku nor Nicolas Jackson impressing Enzo Maresca. The former RB Leipzig star has performed well in the cup competitions but has failed to play on the same wavelength in the Premier League whereas his Senegalese teammate has had a barren run in the final third since the start of 2025.

Napoli marksman Victor Osimhen has been tipped to join the Blues this summer having been identified as their primary target. He is spending the ongoing campaign on loan at Galatasaray, where he has scored 35 goals and provided eight assists. And though the Turks are keen on landing him permanently, Chelsea are better placed financially to afford the Nigerian international.

Though news regarding Osimhen’s transfer has cooled in recent times, Simon Phillips (h/t Caught Offside) said that the player is still ‘keen to join Chelsea’ and that it wouldn’t be ‘difficult to come to an agreement’. He is set to cost £62 million, a fee that the Blues should be able to pay without many problems, whereas the striker does not have any unreasonable wage demands either.

Osimhen’s transfer a matter of time

Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Chelsea might only be a matter of time. The Londoners are working behind the scenes to seal the deal while also having help from John Obi Mikel, a former player and also their target’s compatriot. With the team focused on winning the Europa Conference League and finishing the Premier League strongly, it isn’t a surprise why talks have been paused.

On the other hand, Galatasaray also have three more fixtures left until the season comes to an end and having already been crowned Super Lig champions, Osimhen will look to bring down the curtains on a superb year in Istanbul on a high. Once he is back at Napoli’s disposal, things ideally should start to flow in the right direction from Chelsea’s perspective.

Enzo Maresca would preferably want Osimhen to join Chelsea in time for the Club World Cup this summer with the Blues set to face Mexican side Club Leon on June 16th in their maiden game of the tournament. It will be interesting to see if all parties involved can wrap up a deal in time for that or whether the start of next season is a more realistic target.

Colwill for me is still showing in flashes that he can become a very good starting CB. What he badly needs is a Thiago Silva sort of leader next to him to form a partnership which starts game after game all season in the league. 

I’m perfectly okay keeping Trev & Tosin since as we’ve seen all season they’re each capable of coming in and being perfectly serviceable and solid. 

Colwill + a Thiago Silva/JT/VVD/Kompany type with Trev/Tosin/Fofana if he ever stays fit as our CB options next season and we’re in great shape. Whether that profile of CB exists out there and could be had I don’t know.

It certainly isn’t Huijsen, Branthwaite, or some other kid we should be after. Look how massive of a step Newcastle took forward once they signed some highly experienced, no nonsense CB’s. That’s what we need badly.

Blimey, would be pretty happy if we got £40m with a decent sell on %, £50m or something with no sell on would be amazing, can't picture anyone spending £70m on him but if they did would snap their hands off with no terms added at all

Maybe I'm too much of a Colwill hater to see the value

Osimhen for 50-70 mil I'd be fine with. Watched some videos with data on him, and if we're going to continue to struggle against a low block, I actually think he is a good fit. 

Really good in the air and can bail us out of shit games like the one today. Get him in. Then we have him and Jackson/anyone else they bring on board if Jackson leaves.

I didn’t really want Osimhen but do think he can score goals.  Very good in the air and Neto can cross the ball.  Added bonus if Nico wants to play he has to improve his levels.  Has no competition right now so is on the team sheet for doing nothing really

Just look at what Maguire went for a number of season ago and the rumoured price for Guehi in recent windows. We could probably get even more thanks to the HG/English tax.
