I thought he was very limited. I think Neto is an important player to keep around. He may not always produce the numbers, stats-wise, however he does a lot of defensive work for the team and this season is offensive output has improved. Is already on 3 goals and 2 assists in the league. He only got 4 league goals last season, so is well on course to get his best ever tally. Forest, West Ham game he was fantastic and also thought he was quality against Benfica too. Think he is a very good player to have around. I actually prefer him on the right but equally he is good on the LW too. Edited November 14, 2025 by Stats Fernando and bigbluewillie

It really depends upon how the manager sets up the attack next season with Quenda and Emegha (if thats how you spell his name) joining. Neto is a solid player to have but if there was serious Saudi money on the table....the club may sell to help balance the books. mkh

Imagine Wirtz behind Endrick and Simons on the left 🤯💥 We paid twice as much as these combined on this set of bums Sterling, Mudryk, Badiashile, Disasi, Sanchez, Filip, Delap, Fofana, Lavia, not to mention the many others who are questionable like Pedro, Gittens, Garnacho so not like they are filling themselves with glory. Vesper 31,135
Givairo Read is the most modern full-back https://scoutedftbl.com/givairo-read-is-the-most-modern-full-back/ The full-back role is perhaps the best bellwether for football’s constant change. The full-back ‘meta’ has shifted significantly in a short space of time: as soon as the inverted versions became a mainstay at the top level, the traditional flyers were back in fashion. That means a full-back that can do both is of heightened value. Givairo Read can do both. He can move beyond the ball, manipulating width to provide depth and development in a more traditional method, and also progress and penetrate as a passer from behind the play, tucking inside in build up. In terms of contemporaries and compatriots, the Feyenoord right-back offers a fleet-footedness that compares to Jeremie Frimpong and a sturdiness that is reminiscent of Jurriën Timber. His rounded skillset was outstanding for the Netherlands as they triumphed at the UEFA U-19 EURO last summer and has been a boon for Robin van Persie at club level this season. His profile is burgeoning in the Eredivisie and beginning to attract interest from some of the biggest clubs on the European scene. His tactical, technical and physical flexibility is a golden goose for head coaches and squad planners at the highest levels. Expect to see him make a milestone move next year. mkh 779
Chelsea’s youth drive will continue with the signing of Ecuadorean defender Deinner Ordonez from Independente del Valle, Moises Caicedo’s old club. 16yo defender agrees long term deal and joins in 2028. Granted this is for the future but this guy is getting a lot of hype from Ecuador. I'm still surprised that Ecuador out of nowhere are producing top players. Kind of remind of Belgium with their golden generation. Seems like that is right now with Ecuador. mkh, Stats and Reddish-Blue 2

We'll have a stacked team in 2030, thats for sure 😆 I just don't see how Chalobah/Tosin/Josh/Fofana is enough to get us top 4 this season. A defender in January would be ideal. (@BobbyVincentFL) Cant be any worse than Tosin. People laughed when I said that last season too but Tosin has been found out as the second coming of Titus Bramble. And another 16 years old who is apparently “best CB talent” someone has seen. Great. He’ll be playing for Grimsby in 5 years probably. I know we don’t need wingers but would be devastated if we aren’t in the running for Semenyo. Looks really exciting. Suppose 25 years old probably makes him too old anyway but would’ve been a better signing than both Gittens & Garnacho. Oh well. Probably goes to City or Liverpool & tears it up. Even if he went to United think he’d do well - particularly after the output & performances they’ve got with Cunha & Mbuemo, PL proven players giving them much more than most expected, ok goals maybe lacking from Cunha but I think you see the all round ability is there. Mbuemo has really impressed me his physicality, dynamism & work rate. Edited November 15, 2025 by OneMoSalah Reddish-Blue

Mbuemo has really impressed me his physicality, dynamism & work rate. To be fair to United, they did well to go after PL experienced talent. If they were able to add a solid mid to help out Casemiro, they'd be in the battle for top 4.

You say that now that he is 25 years old and had many tries to improve. It's like giving the same context Gittens and Garnacho come good at 25 after many tries in the PL..... But you don't want to be patient with the younger guys that can have potential like Semenyo? I'm sure if you bought Semenyo at 21 and he was not showing nothing you would have said not a good signing. The point is that with these younger players sometimes you need to give them a season or two and then we can assess further. The only youth that has come doing above others is Estevao and that is the exception not the norm.

Fulham Broadway 17,785
Chelsea could save £52m if they hold off on signing France centre-back Dayot Upamecano until next summer when he is a free agent - but risk missing out on the 26-year-old should Bayern Munich sell in January, with Liverpool among the clubs interested.
