im fine with going forward with fofana and colwill as our main cbs. need to give them a chance to play and prove themselves. we cant buy every year new pair of central backs.

we need a striker as priority number 1. and maybe the only thing this team is missing.

Agreed. I don't trust Fofana fitness for obvious reasons, but we have enough cover even if breaks again. We seem to have missed on the better CBs anyway, esp that one ball-playing CB that Arsenal snatched up.

Aside from striker, I'm extremely disappointing seeing Sanchez starting for us again. If Fillip cannot play ahead of Sanchez wtf was he signed?!

It was good to not have to see Mudryk try to play football tho. He can learn to play footy watching Neto at gameday or at practice.

We more than likely wont be signing a CB. Unless we sell one. Tosin was brought to replace Silva.

We are incredibly lightweight there but these guys buying the players are clueless. Wait and see we won’t sign a striker or a centre back of any real quality if we do.

I think our CBs and GKers may well fuck us so badly we finsh innthe bottom half of the table

it is possible

I do not trust any of them

I know I brought his name up a few days ago but I just think it’s really weird how Omari Kellyman signed for us and then fell off the face of the earth never to be mentioned again. I know he is/was injured but still.

There’s zero talk of him whatsoever in connection with playing in our first team. We already now appear ready to sell/loan Carney after Maresca’s comments today because we have no space for him in that #10 spot. And Felix may be coming in who plays in that area. There’s zero talk about loaning Kellyman either. He’s probably too advanced in his development to go into our dev team and at £19m it would be crazy to have him down there.

So wtf is going to happen with him? It truly does seem like we bought him ONLY as a PSR favor with no plan for what we’re actually gonna do with him.

The weirdest part is, if we're giving out PSR favors, at least get someone in return who can fill a position of need (like CB).    We don't need Kellyman as there is enough attacking talent at the club already (not to mention the two South American kids coming next year).

well it was Villa we bought him from

and they have the best option (I give up on the club buying J David, we clearly do not rate him, or will try to get him on a free next season)

for CF

IF Osimhen goes elsewhere

that being

Jhon Durán

he is the perfect new Chels type of buy (and looks FAR better than Shamu)

we could have had him in the barn door already weeks ago, and my stress levels would be 33% lower (still stressing on CB and GK)

our owners are just bizarre AF

Yeah, exactly. This is easily the most puzzling bit of business by Clearlake yet.

If the FA hadn’t changed the number of loan spots I guess you could rationalize this buy by saying he could go out for a PL loan and perhaps earn himself a future place in the team. But our loan spots will probably be long gone by the time we get around to deciding what to do with him.

We don't need another CB and we dont need another GK.

We have enough of them and already brought a new GK in. (Currently 6 GKs. in the Squad and you want to buy another one? Maybe we need to sell 5 of them and then buy another one)

Fofana, Disasi, Badiashile, Tosin, should be enough and also enough of quality for the top 4 race.

Jörgensen, Petrovic and Sanchez are also also good enough. Sanchez just should not be our No. 1.

Yesterday we saw that sanchez is not good enough. We just need Jörgensen or  Petrovic in net and osimhen. Jackson should not be our striker.

If we had Haaland and city had jackson, then we would have won the game. so please bring in osimhen!!

Outgoings need to happen and big time this week, and according to Romano the Lukaku deal is getting closer but Osimhen is a seperate transaction so no doubt that PSG will snatch him in the last days and we will probably buy another 4 year old on the last day

Will the 4 year old also be able to play in the pivot?

Does anybody even care who we sign anymore? I don't, they're all average mercenaries anyway. I couldn't care less about anybody in the squad once Gallagher and Chalobah leave, the last carriers of Chelsea DNA (Reece also but he's not gonna play a lot). A team of average mercenaries is what we've become and no signing is gonna change that.

Team had balance with Gallagher (our best midfielder fact) with Caicedo without startboy Enzo   which does not fit in PL  but the clowns spend crazy money for him and now even make him captain to save their investition .

The alleged Dodgers strategy won't help either. If the club operates with idea of flipping players asap there is no incentive for them to actually care for the club but rather try to show off as much as possible for their next move.

Funny how fast we are losing the reputation factor also; for last 15 or so years we were in line with Juve, Barca, United etc - playing for Chelsea was nobilitation and aim in itself. Ever heard of some abroad player dreaming to play for Southampton or Crystal Palace? It's a job for them and this is what we are becoming, smaller club mentality.

Crazy how 1 “bad” result (were people actually expecting us to beat the champions?) can send some of you into a depression.

Recently I was thinking how Clearlake promised excitement and all we get is frustration and your optimism seems to prove contrary and that's unironically a comforting sign.

Don't know about others, but personally I'm not depressed, just fed up. A short bursts of doing basic footballing stuff on this level isn't quite the thing to get me going. All the good things are overshadowed by the fact that we still carry the same glaring issues we did last season, two seasons before or even towards the end of previous ownership.

I think that with a top class #9 and a little bit of time we’ll be just fine and well in play for a top 4 finish.

Yeah, maybe so, maybe not, but if you scroll this board back you will read exactly the same sentence year before, two years before and three years before. Also four and five probably.

I don't care we lost to City (or rather 65% of actual City's power), I care I didn't quite see us being remotely a threat to them and didn't see anyone willing to eat the grass to make us so.
