I've seen clips and plays - and tbh hasn't wowed me - but apparently has wowed the football world. Maybe we have a gem? Yeah, the hype seems a bit over the top right now. He looks very composed and mature for his age but he doesn’t scream sure-fire superstar to me. The talent is clearly there but we have to give him time. Lots of massive clubs have wanted him so they all see what he can become of developed properly.

Gangster means someone who makes a living illegally as part of a gang, aka by selling drugs, killing people etc. Not saying Madueke is, I'm just saying he looks like someone who wants to be. Quincy Promes 100% thinks he's a gangster. I usually don’t address these things publicly, but you have had multiple people tagging your posts for racism and winding up members. There is a gangster look, I really don’t think a head band is the be all, end all of that look. I really would not think he does look gangster, but it is a subjective call. As to the wumming. I went back through your posts and it goes all the way back to when Frank Lampard 2.0 was about to happen. You thought Frank would help us to improve. That is the last positive post about the club or the owners. You are allowed to have your opinion. You have demonstrated you can give that opinion without turning the players names into slurs. If your posting style going forward is mostly negative toward the club and turning players names into slurs, you will not be posting at this site. It is a site for fans of the club to discuss the club, the men’s team, the women’s team, and the players. If you have a criticism of any of those things, that is fine. Just make that criticism without abusing the players or people running the club. There are plenty of fans that do not care for the owners, but we should be able to voice that without being abusive about them. bigbluewillie, Mhsc, Hashishi and 1 other 3

People just defending the stupidity of the leadership. Am I not allowed to criticise boehly without people comparing how much better he is than the old leadership? No, people are just surgically dissecting your positings and you don't like being challenged over your hagiographic revisionism along with your near doomsday level pessimism for the present and future. simples We have all (or almost all) have had massive goes at Boehly, when he WAS FUCKING UP, but atm we truly seem to have turned the ship around, and more than a bit. Steep learning curve, but it is ludicrous to say the club is destroyed atm. IF Boehly had not hired any actual football directors, and attempted to run it all himself (along with the Clearlake lads), then yes, I can envision how the club would be destroyed, but the bloke is not a fool, he is a damn sharp businessman with previous sporting experience who is learning the footballing world, and in that learning curve he resigned as Sporting Director 7 months ago. to paraphrase: Rome wasn't destroyed (or set up to be entering a decline cycle of several years in our club's case) in a day, and it won't be rebuilt in one either. We had enough good inertia built up over 17 years to wrench out another CL win and finally win the World Club championship (and the Super Cup for the first time under Roman), but the club was massively fraying at the seams, starting with the UK Home Office denying Roman his visa years ago, which lead him to pulling the plug (heartbreakingly) on that monster new incredible 'Gothic stone temple to football' stadium. Combine that with some horrific contract management and too many shambolic buys, and the writing portending a decline was already etched upon the wall. Almost all the monster clubs who were monsters when Roman bought us (so remove Citeh and PSG) have had (or are having) issues. Barca Juve Pool ( a long period of decline after they scaped their CL in 2005, until Klopp came) Manure (they have been a trophy wreck overall since Fergie left and if not for Moscow and Terry's slip, they would be on a 25 straight year run of no CL finals wins, and ONE in the last 56 years, and only TWO ever 'best team on the planet' claims in 146 years of football, and that is even being generous, as they lost the 1968 Intercontinental Cup over 2 legs to Estudiantes (led by the great MFer Juan Ramón Verón, Juan Sebastián Verón's father) following their first CL/EC win in 1968) Arse (on the rise now after a LONG period of massive decline) AC Milan Inter Ajax was already no longer a top massive club anymore when Roman bought us. Plus Bayern almost lost the league, and are not remotely close to the machine that won the CL in a trot a few years back. One of the 2 new monsters, PSG have never won the CL and are in a hot mess with Mbappe, Neymar etc atm,, and lost Messi. I do suspect they fix themselves, but nothing is guaranteed, especially that first CL (look how long it took Citeh). Only the other new monster (Citeh) is riding high (as in top of the heap), along with Real Madrid (if they freshen it up and make smart buys, which they very likely will). Even Real had two massive gaps between being the top club on the planet. 32 years (from 1966 to 1998) with no CL final win, and then, after winning it 3 out of 5 years (1998, 2000 (and they and Manure were hammered in the 2000 FIFA World Club Cup, neither even made the final, the only two European teams ever to not even make the final), and 2002) 12 more drought years (2002 to 2014) as well, despite INSANE Galactico spending in the noughties whilst chasing La Décima. Cucurella as competition to Chilwell was 90% of the forums wet dream when we were linked to him because he had an “amazing season at Brighton” and was their POTY. A year later he should he sold…. He was always going to be over priced (most of players that we have signed under the new ownership have been) but theres a more than decent player there. Mentally he needs to get used to the pressure of when you make a mistake at a big club there is a lot more pressure than at Brighton and that you need to play well to play regularly at a big club. Looks like he was afraid of expressing himself and would crumble at the thought of taking a risk. Caicedo if we get him will also be very overpriced but again, is everyone’s wet dream. If he has a poor year it will be the same though - sell him, overrated bla bla bla. I have no doubts he have to make the same adjustments mentally as Cucurella has to, to adjust to high pressure, to have the personality or lack of meaning he will either sink or swim when things are going poorly. Gallagher & Mount no comparison quality wise. Lets be honest, we would all of rather kept Mount who has shown he can actually be a quality player if he was going to be in and around the squad and not a guaranteed starter (think Poch would of made a huge improvement on him like EtH will) than Gallagher who runs about like a headless chicken and is technically not remotely close to the level required to play regularly for Chelsea and even for England at international level. But Mount plays for United now so its always going to be that narrative now. @Strike Sommer going Inter for Onana replacement apparently. Almost signed there in January - went Bayern instead.
