Kovacic said, in his first Citeh interview, that the manager he learned the most from was Tuchel

That makes sense. Not sure who he had in the early parts of his career but Zidane doesn't strike me as the most tactical of managers and besides Tuchel, Kova had here Sarri, Lampard (twice) and Potter.

Bayern are going after Mamadashvilli

Ofc they are. Bayern love their value for money bargains. They probably see him as successor to Neuer while we apparently see him as back up to Kepa 🙄

Started the summer with an abundance of midfielders, now more than half of them are gone while we aren't even close to signing one.

Twitter rumours and actual midfielders the club are looking at are two completely different things.

I’m not really sure a big injury is that much of a worry for someone in his position at only 19 years old. If he was an explosive winger or wingback that’s one thing, but as a playmaking #10 type I’m not sure it’s that big of a deal. He was never a player who relied on pace or explosiveness from what I’ve watched.

As long as he’s got two midfielders with legs behind him like Caicedo + Enzo I think we’d be good.

Since when do we actually play with a #10?
The last time we played with a traditional #10 was probably Mata.

If I had to pick an attacking midfielder to go with our current group, it'd be Cherki over Wirtz.    Cherki has that dribbling ability that we've missed since the young Hazard days.  Not sure if Lyon are keen on selling their prized youngster though...

We haven’t been. But Poch’s best Spuds team had prime Eriksen running the show in that area of the pitch. Perhaps he’d want to play a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1  with a more traditional playmaker here.

Controversial opinion: Wirtz is just a smaller Kai Havertz

He’s MUCH more creative than Havertz. Really, the only similarity between the two is that they’re German. Totally different players.

There is another similarity. Chelsea does not pay their salaries. Hope it stays like that. Stay away vibes.
