I don’t think the club would be terribly upset if we had to keep him but this is the sort of money you don’t say no to. Perhaps another club or two will scramble for Conor in the final hours now they see what sort of price we’d accept. Could get a little bidding war tomorrow for him. Hes apparently already turned them down. Was reported last week he wanted to stay and fight for his place as opposed to go to Everton or Newcastle. Youngsters don't count and that leaves us with five and that is if we can move KK. If not Chalobah has to go. And we will have to buy Rice and a HG keeper. Ruben has to accept to leave and accept the contract of the buying club. There is no way a club will come close to matching his current 120kpw wages. If anything, he will be lucky to get 50% of that given his injury record and actual quality. Ruben seems well happy to have a bit part role here.
