@VesperWhat about Kenneth Taylor? Ajax replaced Gravenberch with him and seems to be just as good

I do not think he is near Gravenberch's level

we should try for Bellingham (I think we fail)

and then, if we fail, buy Kouadio Koné (plus Moisés Caicedo as the Kante replacement)

if Zakaria pans out, fuck Rice for £150m, that is robbery

West Ham can go choke on a bag of dicks, and Rice irritates me as well, as he refuses to push for a transfer, so he can stay and cash old pesty pornographer pikey cheques

plus Koné can also play DMF

the big cash should go for Gvardiol, Osimhen, and an attempt at Rafael Leão (another likely fail next summer, as this summer, even though crazy money, was our likely best shot at him, depressingly)

Pool already sniffing around Bellingham like a dog on heat.

Sometimes I think some opinions here won't cease to amaze me. Yeah, let's keep heaps of deadwood, but loosing Kante is exactly what we need now, especially in typical Chelsea configuration - let him go on a free and than sign some mediocre TC-board-FM-find replacement from banana league for a 200 mil, not sooner than year later, who will never be able to step up to this level, so buy another one next window, rinse and repeat.
We missed on reasonable DM talents, our very own are no way near this level. Kante is one of last senior players who has got charisma and some brain actually, so it would be wise to keep him for 2 more years - his wages are peanuts, compared to some idiotic moves by the board and still is one of a few our players, who can turn games around.

The real question is are Kante's injuries are effect of age, or rather it started when club started to seriously mismanage physical preparation and he was run down to the ground playing everything everywhere and never really recovered from it.

He was injured almost immediately this season. Kante is still my favorite player on the team. There does come a time when player's bodies just cannot take the pounding. The way he throws himself around on the pitch, in control, it takes a toll none the less. I hate to see his level drop off, not much anyone can do when it does. Based on last year and the start of this year, it just might be the time that he is not a priority if he wants that many years but has not been healthy.

Pool is my pick where he ends up, the fuckers. Citeh 2nd, Real 3rd. If Manure fail to get CL, they have little chance, same for us I fear.

A Real MF of

Aurélien Tchouameni
Jude Bellingham
Eduardo Camavinga
Federico Valverde

is a terrifying thought

Probably more likely he ends up at Liverpool as he's a guaranteed starter over there.

Real Madrid will definitely make a push but with so many young class midfielders already, he may not get the game time he wants...

‘Overwhelmed’: 25-year-old who rejected Chelsea fails to impress in Champions League debut

https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/news/overwhelmed-25-year-old-who-rejected-Chelsea-fails-to-impress-in-champions-league-debut/

FC Bayern München v FC Barcelona: Group C - UEFA Champions League

Barcelona’s Raphinha has been criticised by Barca Universal for his performance in his side’s 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The match presented the first big challenge for this new look Barcelona team, after being handed a match against Viktotis Plzen in the first gameweek of the competition.

Raphinha, who sensationally chose to join the Catalan club over Chelsea at the last minute, was benched for last week’s game, as new signing Robert Lewandowski stole the headlines with a sensational hat-trick.

The Brazilian was chosen though to take on the Bundesliga champions, with it undoubtedly being the biggest test their respective group has to offer.

However, Xavi’s side were humbled as they were outclassed in a 2-0 defeat, with Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane on the scoresheet in the second half.

Raphinha overwhelmed by Champions League

Raphinha’s performance didn’t go unnoticed, with Barca Universal being heavily critical of his display, particularly in the first half.

They said: “The Brazilian seemed overwhelmed by the occasion early on. Involved in an intense duel with Alphonso Davies with neither willing to give the other an inch. But it was the Canadian who came out on top.

“Raphinha came close with a low drilled effort before swapping flanks with Dembele at the half-hour mark. Returned to the right after the break and saw another effort miss narrowly. Taken off soon after Bayern made it 2-0. A humbling outing for the Brazilian.”

Chelsea had made Raphinha their priority to bring in alongside Raheem Sterling in attack, with some fans claiming his creativity had been seriously lacking so far this season.

The Blues meanwhile look ahead to tonight’s massive game against RB Salzburg, with a win required following last week’s humbling of their own against Dinamo Zagreb.

The game will be Graham Potter’s first in charge of the club, and it will be interesting to see if he decides to start any players who were only on the fringes under Thomas Tuchel.

Bayern were always winning that group, while Plzen are there to get ripped a new one by the top three. Hopefully, Inter can get the better of Barca in there two games, which means it will be back to the Ropey for Barca which isn't in there accounts (apprantly they need last 8 CL to make the figures add up.)

Meh, it was only one game, also Dembele was even worse.

What does anybody think about Lewandowski missing on purpose because he didn't want the wrath of the Bayern fans.

Too late for that, their fans already pissed off for his behaviour during last summer.
