Pizy 18,958
Watching footage, this Carney kid looks ridiculous for his age. A good PL loan where he plays every week would be amazing and could save us tens of millions when he returns next summer. manpe and bigbluewillie

That's exactly what we need right now... 14 apps in the PL at 18yo is no joke. Can't say I know much about the player but I'm reading he's regarded as one of the best young talents in the country so snapping him up can't be a bad idea, as long as there's also enough money in the budget to address more pressing concerns. Maybe one year out on loan and if he succeeds then integrate him in the squad next year when the likes of Kante and Jorginho most likely leave? We've allegedly been scouting him for a while.
Last Sicarius 610
2023 will be good year to come into squad when Jorg and Kante contracts expire. We slept Tchouameni, maybe this kid will be good.

DDA 9,946
This Carney fella will go straight into the first team squad apparently. 100% in agreement with it. I hope people realise just how good this lad could be.

Think it would surely be best for a super talent like him to go to a bottom half PL team and play every week. Or better yet, maybe to somewhere like Leicester as part of a Fofana deal if they also sell Tielemans? Rodgers could work wonders on him. Or perhaps Everton’s dead midfield under Lamps? Same was said for Chalobah last season. Regardless, I do think Tuchel is the sort of manager brave enough to find out how good or how ready Carney is. Plus based on how the other signings have gone, Tuchel 100% has signed off on this. Also another move that shows promising signs from Todd Boehly and his ownership, not just after ready made players who are the complete package/can make an impact in terms of off the pitch also but young, homegrown talent who can make a long term impact. I’m sure at the Dodgers he has had made significant investment in young talent that has come to fruition in their team and its success. Duppy Conqueror 1,543
Is only probably RLC who may be seen as a better option for 24 out of him,Gilmour and Barkley for this season.all seem to be available for departures in one capacity or another.4th or 5th option CM atleast until January be a good decision i think.give him 5 months training with the first team even if he isnt judged to be ready yet isnt gonna derail his career. It’s probably accepted that either of or both Jorginho and Kante aren’t gonna be with us this time next year.but could be good for potentially one of their longtern replacements to spend some time with them rather than.loans arent the generic one size fits all response to having a talented young player.lets have a closer look at him first..he’s already played more PL games than most his age but still young enough that he doesnt have to play 40plus games a year. I’m sure at the Dodgers he has had made significant investment in young talent that has come to fruition in their team and its success. Tuchel apparently met with him last week and their conversations convinced him to make the move so there is a very real chance he goes into the first team picture this season and with the 5 subs rule there could well be opportunities there. From what I've seen of him, his best position is probably a cross between an 8 and a 10. Some people have put comparisons to Bellingham but I personally think he's a bit more like a Pogba and could probably find a role and game time within the front 3 here rather than the pivot, certainly whilst he's still young. With Werner's foot half way out the door and question marks still over Broja, Pulisic, Hudson Odoi and Ziyech, there's the possibility a couple might move on whereas I don't see a lot of opportunities in attack out on the market currently. Could possibly see him being viewed as a replacement in the squad for one of the attackers.
