Same. Guehi is not a CB that takes us up a level which I’ve said in this thread before when we were linked with him months ago. He and Trev are at the same level so why bother selling the one who’s already here and spending big on one who isn’t better?

Guessing that's the same reason why Liverpool/Newcastle and other clubs are keen on getting Guehi, the one with 20+ caps for England.

For all the talk about Trev, he's nothing more than a useful squad player, same with Tosin.  Those are the guys you want as your 3rd choice CB to fill in as required.

PL attackers would be delighted if we didn't upgrade at CB.

Yesssss! Imagine how cool it would be to have a Double Dutch announcement. Xavi and Hato both in that beautiful orange Netherlands kit, they both snap their fingers are suddenly in the Chelsea kit 😍😍😍

Chalobah is academy player and Tosin we got for free. Either way great profit.

Even tho they did solid I think club will try to cash in on whoever attracts best offers. Fofana is clear number one.

Fofana should be nothing else but a back up at this point, play here and there to make sure he doesn't get injured and keep him fit for the season and get rid of him next summer.

I'm massively against this. I think that Tosin has deserved more minutes than he was granted last season but that is not the reason I say we need to keep him. He's just a great person to have around: -

  • A squad needs players who accept that they won't start all the big games. Tosin seems reconciled to that.
  • He is a calm, sensible head.
  • He seems to be good for Palmer.
  • He has quickly become one of the elements which bind the squad together. He has the character and the intelligence to embody the ethos of the club; to be the person who commands the respect of his fellow players.
  • If he is not a regular starter then he probably can't be match captain, but I can see him in a 'club captain' role.
  • He is better in front of a camera than pretty much anyone else in the group who comes to mind right now. He can develop into a person that is one of the faces of Chelsea.

Disagree

Tosin is the default leader

Trevoh is vastly underrated

and Fofana is perma-wrecked and even when healthy he is not all that

Fulham are interested Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

It's understood Fulham have explored the conditions of a loan & permanent deal. A formal approach to Chelsea will follow if they believe there is a deal to be done.

we cant loan KDH. We need to sell him

So, if Nkunku, Jackson and Guiu (loan) are to left, our attacking options will be:

ST: J Pedro, Delap

LW: Gittens, Simons,

RW: Neto, Estevao, George

AM: Palmer, KDH, Enzo

So, counting Enzo as half, we have 9.5 players for 4 positions. Seems reasonable as KDH and George won't see much playing time.

I think we will need a third striker. That role is not right for Guiu, and I can't see Jackson being a happy with it so perhaps we need to bring in a veteran who is happy to fit into our wage structure and accepts being number 3. I wouldn't object to Callum Wilson for example. As far as I know he's still looking for a club.

I've become sold on the idea of listening to offers for Enzo, if there are any. His transfer value in the rumours would fund the transfer fee of both Simons and Rogers. Rogers then takes the Enzo role in that scenario.
