If there were not enough red flags on Garnacho, he was whining on IG publicly about not starting after a lost EL-final.

I feel very bad vibes on him, no reflection on his face, seems an inconvenient guy who is not a good teammate. Bit like Mudryk, but too much confidence.

Both Gittens and Garnacho are runners, that's not really what we lack. We need attackers who can break teams who are parking the bus.

Isn’t Araujo injured all the time?

Tomas Araujo the one playing for Benfica. Also Silva is back in form, I'd go for him 1st choice.

Ah, thought you meant the Barca Araujo.

People need to forget idea of getting new GK. Not happening.

Yep. Sanchez has shown just enough for Maresca and the club to keep him as our #1 unfortunately. He wasn’t a complete disaster down the stretch so he’s staying for sure.

Argument stands for palmers form to be worse than Sanchez

There's talk of Penders being in the squad for the CWC, so we never know what might happen there. I'd be slightly worried about a teen being our number one, though.

I was going to mention that. I remember him playing in a preseason tournament for Milan at 16. He was already well over 6ft and definitely showed signs that he was at least ready, physically.

If we have a Rogers on one wing and Cole on the other - or just goal scorers around the "striker" then we can get away with the Jackson/Delap type - ala Liverpool with Firmino.

Saying that though - I think Delap on a better team becomes a decent goal scorer. From watching him he has nice technique with his striking and isn't afraid to crack it.

Not having that at all.

Firmino’s role was probably extremely underrated in terms of importance to that team. Similarly to Benzema’s role at Madrid with Ronaldo and Bale.

He wasn’t just making up the numbers or a average player doing a job, he was a pretty good player and essential to that frontline working as it did under Klopp.

Jackson doesn’t have the braincells or quality to do anything remotely close to that here. He is more like Darwin Nunez than Firmino 🤣

Delap also don’t see it, he is a more classic style CF I feel. Not sure if he will make that step up purely because his game is nowhere near as rounded. How do you think he’s gonna fare against teams that sit in with 10 men behind the ball? At Ipswich they play a lot more direct and on the transition more. His game is nowhere near that rounded or technical enough to play here.
