After United lost the chance to play CL that means Gyokeres is off since he wants CL. But regardless they will get Cunha and Delap. Gyokeres to Arsenal. Osimhen to Saudi. What's left for us? Probably Sesko.

Wasn’t the report yesterday that Seško is Arsenal’s top choice?

Looking like 1 of Sesko or Gyokeres will be the one to target Arsenal seem to like Sesko more according to reports.

Wirtz seems like a nice enough player - but definitely not the crazy money that is getting talked about.

Rodrygo, a decent striker and just one good CB is what we need. Simple business.

Get rid of Disasi, Nkunku, Badi, Fofana, Mudryk, Sancho and Chillwell.

Kepa, Sterling, Broja, KDH, Carney, Ugo, Badiashile, Deivid, DD Fofana - plenty of dead wood cluttered around the club.

I think buying Sesko allows him to rotate more. Havertz, despite his critics is really fancied by Arteta and on huge wages and he will be starting a lot of games next season. But if you get Gyokeres, he will come to start every game, whereas Sesko will accept the rotation role I believe. Gyokeres is better but higher wages and Sesko is younger. Like I say, Arteta wants a striker to compete with Havertz imo, not replace him. Sesko therefore would be easier for Arteta to rotate. Gyokeres is undroppable.

If that is the case, does Gyokeres have another big club that might sign him? Wouldn't want to lose out and have to look at a young striker like Delap/Ekitike

Garnacho or Gittens would be monster flops. For the love of god, don’t do something silly…

Garnacho is a decent ball-carrying midfielder. But I'd try to go all out and sign Rogers + a striker in his prime - Gyokeres or Isak

Villa do need to make sales for PSR reasons

Morgan Rogers is the only one of those named by Jacobs that would genuinely excite me. Even Sesko, while talented, feels like a big risk to me. Gittens and Garnacho would be a massive letdown and I will be extremely skeptical about them until the season starts and we see them in action.

Think Rogers has the potential to be a top player and it would be wise to go for him now before he has another great season and City or Liverpool come sniffing around. We’d probably have a free run at him this summer if Villa do indeed have PSR issues again.

Rogers would be great business. Can play either wing, LW being helpful for us, and feel he has potential to even fill in at CF when needed. Best mates with Cole as well from the looks of things.

I really don't think Sesko, Gyokeres, Osimhen or anyone bar Isak are world class and surefire locks to bang in goals in the PL. So I think getting someone like Delap as competition for CF is fine and seeing how he pans out. 40 mil or whatever it is really isn't breaking the bank, and can move him on if he doesn't turn into what is expected.

Rodrygo would be great, but I'd be chuffed with Rogers.

Left hand side with Cucu and Rogers (with Felix/Noni as backup?) sorted. Right with Neto/Estevao and James/Gusto sorted. Cole in the middle. Delap/Jackson partnership I think would do okay and can always look to upgrade. Our midfield is set for years.

Just need to focus on CB's from there.

Agree with all of this.

Noni won't stay as backup, pretty sure there were times this season where he didn't start and the rumors began.

As for RB, unless James is fit to play 25 games a season, thats a massive risk for next season.  Maybe Josh takes the next step in his development and that helps strengthen our choices at RB.
