We have well and truly fecked this up.
I wouldn’t read too much into Caicedo following Lavia, he follows everyone.
Except Liverpool

They share a bed like Morecambe and Wise

Thatcher ass-kissing Tory plonkers, especially Morecambe (my mum curses them everytime she sees them mentioned, lol)

I would have purchased a veteran 30+ one on the cheap, like we did with Giroud (and that worked out VERY well)

my dream buy for that is impossible, (Immobile) as he likely will not leave Lazio until he is truly rinsed (and perhaps not even then)

he lives around a ten, 15 minute walk from Stadio Olimpico

Ciro Immobile receives the first Golden Boot of his career

after him

Borja Iglesias
Gerard Moreno
Mehdi Taremi
Gaëtan Laborde
Wissam Ben Yedder
Niclas Füllkrug
Jhon Córdoba
Andrea Belotti
Duván Zapata
Marko Arnautovic
Luis Muriel
Paulinho    Sporting CP

If only Kevin Gameiro was 6 years younger. Would of suited us well I think. I really like the comparison of Giroud, though - having a taller striker to give us more options against Stoke-like teams would be a huge bonus.

Anyone see the Monday night football with Jamie and Gary? Not hyping Lavia at all, almost questioning the signing. Proceed to watch Uniteds midfield get run through by Wolves. Yikes. Our defence and midfield is stacked now it’s insane, under Poch especially.

More optimistic than I have been for a long time . Only one thing saddens me and many will disagree — but that one thing is Lukaku !! If we continue to play the way we did on Saturday,he could be amazing in this team. Don’t get me wrong — I never want to see him anywhere near Chelsea ever again — but we paid £97 million for him and we need another striker. If we continue to get the ball forward quickly as per Saturday I believe things could have turned out differently.Sad it’s too late now !!

Enzo, Caicedo, Lavia, Santos, Ugo, Casadei - (not even including Gallagher and Chukwu) - isnt that a bit too much?

Sure, Ugo and Casadei will go on loans, Gallagher sold, but still, these players will be back next year. I feel like we will sell at least 1 of them next summer - hopefully not to one of our opponents, bc every single one of them has enormous potential.

The one I’m not sure about as I mentioned last night is Ugo. Casadei and Santos are at least pretty different profiles of midfielders compared to Enzo, Caicedo, and Lavia. I can imagine Casadei for example being a Lampard type who plays further up. That’s probably his future. But Ugo is a pure DM and we’ll have 3 players (Caicedo, Lavia, and Santos) who all occupy that deeper position so I’m not sure where he’d fit. Puzzling signing for me. If he was purely an insurance signing in case we failed with Caicedo or Lavia then we could’ve waited until the deadline to get him since it’s not like anyone else was after him.

Gallagher for me HAS to be sold to the highest bidder this window. It’ll be sad and unfortunate on a personal level because he clearly loves the club and is desperate to fight for his place, but he isn’t a deep midfielder and we have others for the more advanced roles. Need to go not only for on the pitch reasons but also to help us out FFP wise.

Two of the biggest priorities before the window closes are to get as much money as possible for Gallagher and Chalobah.

  • Merih Demiral to Al Ahli, here we go! There’s an agreement now in place with Atalanta and player side — set to be signed in the next 24 hours. Two Premier League clubs also wanted Demiral but Al Ahli agreed a deal on the same conditions and now it’s done.

Would rather see Cucurella go and Maatsen stay

Think the only reason for that is to help balance the books for FFP...with no-one keen on Cucurella on a permanent transfer.   Clubs will be lining up for Maatsen at the 20 million mark.

I was actually keen to see Maatsen play as a backup winger this season, seemed to have proper pace/dribbling that could really be useful alongside Chilwell/James/Gusto.

Long term yes not all of them are gonna stay around but have 2-3 years before we need to sell any of them (can't remember off the top of my head how long Conor has left)

Earlier in the window i did think Caicedo and an older player made sense but once i realised that 4-2-3-1 isn't going to be the primary formation and we gonna play more 4-3-3 or a variant of it then Caicedo + Lavia are too good to turn that down. We have too many for now but better than having too few..i'd say long term we'll keep 5 that will be Enzo,Caicedo,Lavia,Casadei and Santos.but like i said is 2-3 years before we make these kind of decisions.and we'll make a profit on who is sold.

Man City,Real Madrid etc...wouldnt worry about having too much.
