why?

I just mean that it'll be a massive expense on the books to get both of them in...100 million for Barella, 80+ million for Caicedo, 30+ for Jackson and we still have to get a goalkeeper, Nkunku is another 60+ million.

In terms of sales, Mount & Havertz will get us 100-110 million and the Saudi sales will probably get us 40 million.

I wonder if we can step up to a different bracket of player now that we’re receiving so much extra cash for our unwanted players. Maybe we really can go after the likes of Tonali & Barella instead of Onana & Lavia.

As good as they are, I think tonali and barella are the exact type of player that will bomb in PL. their technique and vision would never come to full effect in packed PL  midfields where everyone gets a free studs up tackle and they won’t have as much time on the ball. Just look at how Tonali got absolutely shut down by Kovacic when our worst team in decades smacked Milan with ease twice last fall.

I’ll easily get over the losses of Mount, Jorginho, Kova, and Mendy. All very solid players for us but I don’t see any of them making us regret letting them go. But for some strange reason I feel like we’ll regret selling Kai to Arse specifically. If he was going to Bayern I wouldn’t be bothered in the least. But the thought of him realizing his potential in that shirt rubs me the wrong way.

Great price we’re getting, nice to get his massive wage off the books, but makes me feel uneasy.

It surely hurts, from a certain perspective, but at the same time it's clear that it wasn't meant for him to succeed at Chelsea. 19 goals in 3 PL seasons is dreadful for any attacking player in a team like Chelsea. Even for a Wolves player it would be a disastrous figure.

I would also add that he strikes me as a very cold kind of guy. I could never feel a connection between him and us, as fans. Maybe he was not compatible with the club. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Mount, whom I will 100% regret more.

But it is what it is, this is what football is like nowadays, there's no such thing as one-club men anymore.

Price for Havertz 60m plus add ons taking it to 65M

Arsenal will pay Chelsea £50m in three instalments for Kai Havertz, plus £15m in add-ons, in a total package worth £65m. [@DarrenArsenal1] #afc

Not sure how reliable this guy is, but it doesn't sound to be that good for us.
