Sky Sport Austria, though, are now reporting that Sesko has decided that he wishes to stay at Salzburg for the 2022-23 season despite the interest from Chelsea, United and Newcastle.

‘Benjamin Sesko wants to stay in Salzburg for another year so that he can make the leap like Erling Haaland,’ Sky Sport Austria reporter Marko Stankovic said.

‘That’s Sesko’s plan. Next year we will talk about a really good transfer.’

In other words he isn't interested in Chelsea, United and Newcastle? Ok with me.

I read somewhere that ... Chelsea scouts suggested he was going to flop in the premier.
In what state were those scouts ?  Drunk and incapable ?

First you'd have to know that the report about Chelsea scouts saying he'd flop were true.

Should say that I think he'll be brilliant for them BUT look how lukaku started for us? Too early to call one way or the other

Was anyone really fooled by Rom scoring a couple of goals, and would anyone be fooled now if Haaland had failed to against West Ham? I hope that not even we fans judge footballers like that.

Why on earth would they publicly state in with THIS level of detail? Are they trying to laugh off their own, since two weeks, player? This club is bigger circus than it seemed after emoji-bombing Lewandowski

So ironic that in 2021 we ended up paying twice the amount that City signed Haaland for, to get Lukaku.

tragic more like

another in a long series of crazy bad buys

thank fuck the good ones panned out enough that we have now won every single real (so no preseason friendly bullshit) major possible (still contested, so no Intercontinental Cup, we would have had to win the CL in Roman's first year for a shot at that, as Porto, sans Mou (he was here at Chels, obviously), won (barely) the last one ever played, against a shit Once Caldas side, on 12 December 2004, as they won the CL with Mou in spring 2004) trophy for a European club to win, barring the brand new 3rd tier (so not desirable as you have to be poor in the League to qualify and winning it only gets you into the Europa League if you do not qualify for the CL in league play) UEFA Conference League

Overhyped at times and no doubt the massive contract killed him. If he went to Bayern he’d of already been back in the PL playing for a bottom 10 side. Thats his consistent level just now unfortunately. Injury wouldn’t of helped too either but I think he was given too much too soon.

I've said all along that I am not willing to believe that Callum was given a contract worth a basic £6m a year and that if this was the price for keeping him we should have just taken Bayern's money instead. I still do not want to believe he is on that size of deal.

We have to go for him this week. With as shit as United look with McFred they may very well get spanked by Brentford next weekend 🤣. Then they’ll offer Frenkie £500k a week plus name Old Trafford after him in desperation.

Seriously though, it should be easy enough to speak with his agent and find out whether or not he’d be willing to join us, surely? I would really hope that he was discussed during the Alonso negotiations.

You ask that as if you're worried that the club might not have already done this but, if TT is interested, they certainly will already have done exactly that. Mind you, based on the order of priority TT gave in his post game interview yesterday, maybe he isn't interested.

I'd get all excited if we were linked with players who can pull off this kind of stuff with actual PL opponents, not with PUMAS, with all due respect. It's the everlasting problem with links other, than CL-proven players: they are magicans in their leagues, but in PL suddenly stuff is 10x faster and more physical and they are crashing the wall hard.

Besides this, De Jong and his agency are apparently playing a hardball in terms of cash and another huge, hit or miss contract is not something we need, as previous 5 times we did were rather failure. He may be good, but the move is a delicate matter I guess.
