If he can earn that elsewhere I do not begrudge him that, its his personal choice to do so, if he has those offers. I personally do not believe he performs at the level he is without the manager we have.

He is entitled to maximize profit while his stock is at its peak but we will not become a legend anywhere then. It is a trade-off.

I think Toni is massively overestimating himself tho. His 9 months of world class form are unprecedented in his career and IMO only possible bc of Tuchel and his resolute 3-4-3. Albeit he is arguably the most important piece of that back 3 as he has a unique role, he is not irreplacable. Players with his physical and technical characteristics exist and are on the market.

Also never forget that Jogi Löw tried Rüdiger in the exact same position in a back 3 at the euros and he sucked balls, was possibly worse than Hummels and definitely worse than Ginter. I don't see him ever replicating the type of performances he enjoys under TT.

It was very iffy if we would cough up £200K PW. £400K PW is utter madness.

We are crazy if we lose Rudiger and only replace him with the dwarf

We have had and do have so many CB's (including fullbacks who play in a back 3 at CB) who are 6 feet or (the majority) under 6 feet and we just sold Zouma, one of the big boys

Thiago (the ONLY one on here who is good in the air)

now add Kounde and subtract Rudi

we would literally be down to only AC and Trevoh as our only CBs over 6 feet tall

plus the youth players Levi Colwill and Xavier Mbuyamba, who surely go out on loan next season (Colwill is out now)

Jake Clarke-Salter and Matt Miazga need to be sold, they are never going to play here and next summer they turn 25 and 27yo
