CHO is our greatest talent until now, imagine we let this happen, especially on Lampard's watch, I still think it's bullshit rumors no way we can let this happen.

Why? I've seen nothing from this lad to say he's worth keeping

i dont rate cho highly as lets say a year or two ago, but still, this transfer is so fucking stupid. we are already one winger short and we are letting him go. this is really bad since there is no way we can buy two wingers now, not even one imo.

btw, im not so sure whats his plan in all of this? does he really think he will get more minutes there than here? fucking delusional.

I am having doubts over those figures. Matt Law said the Chelsea asking price was 30m and no club matched it.

that was later, I am talking about summer 2018

it has been well documented for ages

not going to waste my time going back over this

same as the Willian shit back then

we woule be nuts to let our only backup winger go. Bayern offered us 35m last time when he had 1 year left on his contract. Now we hold all the power with 4yrs left on his contract. They should offer at least 50m which they simply wont. Also this would mean Mount basically becomes our default winger when just one of Pulisic/Ziyech is injured which is probably the case for half the season.

Does it really matter?
If Ziyech or Puli are injured, we still have Mount and Werner, who can play those roles. Lampard does not rate CHO, but rates Mount highly, so sadly CHO has to leave if he wants his career to move forward.

its no good moving players aroudn from their usual positions IMO. also we have seen CHO offers much more on the wing (even though it is still not enough) than Mount shoehorned into the front 3. But yeah if we really loan out CHO in  one of the thickest season ever to accomodate mount, Lampard is doomed.

Frank Lampard’s desire to add a defensive midfielder to his squad before the transfer window shuts on Monday may rest on whether or not Chelsea can sell any of their fringe players.

Chelsea are still weighing up whether or not to make a late bid on a player to offer greater protection in front of the team’s defence, but the priority is to first line up moves away for players who may not feature this season.

Bayern Munich have made a fresh approach to try to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi, but it remains to be seen whether or not the winger is a player Chelsea will let go after rejecting a bid from the Germans in January last year.

Declan Rice has been Lampard’s top defensive midfield target, but West Ham United insist they will not sell their star player which may force Chelsea to seek an alternative.

Blues scouts have watched Atletico Madrid over recent months and Thomas Partey’s contract includes a £45million release clause that has so far proved too expensive for Arsenal.

Chelsea will consider offers for Antonio Rudiger, who is a target of Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur, Tiemoue Bakayoko, who has most recently been linked with Napoli, and either Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri, who have both interested Inter Milan.

Arsenal have shown an interest in Jorginho, although the Gunners are still pursuing Houssem Aouar, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek could leave on loan and Fikayo Tomori is waiting to find out whether he will be allowed out. Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is yet to attract an offer.

Hopefully we go for Partey. He is better and cheaper than Rice

We get Partey I genuinely think we are complete as a team.

it will have to be a straight buy, as Roman put the kibosh on any swapping/selling of Kante, and no a chance in hell (I would think) that Simeone would want Jorginho.

If we do not buy Partey this window, then next summer I am even more all in for Zakaria, as Partey will be 28, and not a truly long term option at that point, and will be 30 at the point where we would sell him if he is a flop, so truly dead money

£50m sounds fair

or a swap, CHO + cash for Lucas Hernandez  which allows us to sell BOTH the dregs Alonso and Emerson, plus strengthens us greatly at 2 positions. (CB and LB)

or really go creative and package Rudiger and CHO, for Lucas plus cash

Because you just know he will turn into Prime Maldini there under a defensive coach. Maybe he won't but why take the chance?

And I can flip that around by saying Rudi taking a squad place there could take a squad place and block potential moves for top class CB's that become available.

You can't operate on such if, buts and maybes, especially a ridiculously low percentage one.

I suggested Partey the other day because I thought it made a lot of sense. I feel he is the perfect partner for Kanté. We could play a 2 man midfield with him and still look fairly solid defensively. I don't think defending is his main strength but he provides more stability than Jorginho or Kovacic.
