His rise to the top is so impressive. Glad that we have such a motivated guy as a goalkeeper. It seems like he still has a lot of room to grow, and maybe being at a top club is the last step he needs to catapult himself as a world class goalkeeper. 3 clean sheets in 4 games is a fantastic start and I hope we can continue to rely on him for the rest of the season.

we are so used to having a shit goalies, that a good but not worldclass showing from a good but not (yet) world class goalie gets usover the moon.

That being said, the decision to go for him over a more flashy, younger gk likeOnanan or that guy from Lille looks smarter by the day. Mendy just looks like he cant be fuzzed, he seems a mentally very strong and stable guy. He scolds zouma and the other defenders when they fuck sth up but he doesnt go crazy or hides in a shelllike Kepa does.He also wasnt affected by his strange howler with thatleft footed pass. He might be the perfect mid-term goalie signing. Long may he stay healthy.

Saves yesterday apart from the last one should be expected from any goalie, yet we would have lost 2-0 with kepa in goal.For that alne Mendy deserves the praise he gets.

Proper scouting job by Lollichon and looks a smart pick-up in today's GK market. Everyone praising that save at the end but the save from Rashford earlier in the first half was also equally good. He was out of his line and cutting out the angle

Totally best buy of the transfer window for me. 

Chillwell is amazing, and I know Kai will become a monster. 

But we needed desperately to improve our defense and instantly Mendy has done that. 

Buy of the season for us and can help us transform going forward.

One thing I noticed about Mendy is that he doesn't put his arms slightly behind before jumping like Kepa does, which costs those crucial centimetres of either reaching or not reaching. It's a bad habit of Kepa's, sort of like Brana putting his hands behind his back... still remember how we all went nuts every time he did that.   Anyway, Mendy doesn't have this habit, which is showing in saves like that Rashford shot.

Exactly, Kepa would have done that crouch thing, without moving then start berating the defenders. He did that so many times
