Pizy 18,906
How does a midfield containing Jorginho and Kante allow play to be dominated by a relegation caliber side? Just how? We've been forced to become a counter attacking small team by Brighton. Not Liverpool, not City. Brighton! DDA, kellzfresh and Nasnet
Ryan Fong 2,776
All the excitement down to drain lol, it’s just as poor as it could get, Werner is the only decent one on the pitch. Muzchap, prehuman, bigbluewillie and 1 other

bigbluewillie 1,930
What an appalling half from us, Brighton can feel unlucky to be losing. Werner what a beast, love the guy on the other hand Havertz looks lost, doesn't know to shit or bust. Then only one's who's performed out there for us is Timo and Mount 0007
Hutcho 8,443
Think CHO for Ruben. Or put giroud on and move Werner wide. With some better passing Werner would have been in a couple of times.Werner has looked very good. Havertz hasn't got into the game yet though. nofacej 132
The main positive to take away from the performance so far is that we have so many players set to return from injury or integrate into the squad that we won't be playing with this horrible formation again and at least have something to look forward to. Nasnet 63
Just now, Sir Mikel OBE said: Timo looking the real star. Kai seems disinterested...or out of position. I think out of position. DDA 9,938
Think nerves and a lack of pre-season with new signings thrown in for their first game is showing big time.
Popular Post! Superblue 6,372 Posted September 14, 2020 Popular Post! Share Posted September 14, 2020 Werner looks a potential superstar. He's so rapid and lively. Havertz I think will take longer to get adjusted to the league. Everything he does looks tidy and effortless, but you can see he's not quite on the same wavelength as the rest at present. I think he'll definitely be more suited to playing centrally long term. 11Drogba, kellzfresh, Thesara and 4 others
Popular Post! 0007 511 Posted September 14, 2020 Popular Post! Share Posted September 14, 2020 We are piss poor. Can't press, can't pass, can't play out from the back. It's not just the players, Brighton's team looks like the better coached team. The early signs are not good. Loftus-Cheek is done, just done. We overhyped him, it's not just the injury - he is miles off the pace of the game. Academy player or not - he doesn't have place on the pitch. Mount as always rushes things too much. I am beyond pissed, maybe even disappointed... blu35_army, Muzchap, kellzfresh and 2 others

Sadly it looks like back to square one, if Gallagher shines at West Brom he's gone. DDA, kellzfresh and 0007

Azul 1,615
I haven't seen a worse display from a player in the first half since Alonso's game against Ajax. RLC isn't Chelsea quality end of story. kellzfresh and Vesper

Azul 1,615
Everyone saying Havertz isn't looking ready aren't grasping the fact that RLC is playing in his original position. If Havertz played in the CAM position from the start then we'd be 2 or 3-0 upfront. Vesper and prehuman
Yeboii 1,844
Havertz had nice one touch passes. Lost the ball once and ran back to make a successful tackle. Also, if Mount would have passed better he probably would have scored from a lovely run in the beginning. Werner is such a breath of fresh air for us in attack. Great runs and effort in the press. If both Havertz and Werner would be a little more aggressive in their pressing, and not allow Brighton to correct some miscontrols, they wouldn't be playing so comfortably from the back. I like the idea of putting Havertz where RLC is playing and unleashing CHO on them! Vesper
Stats 7,142
Werner looks electric. I was surprised/worried to see RLC in the lineup and I would rather we sub him. Is scuppering every move and just doesnt look at it. Would rather Barkley or even CHO come on in his place. We are quite lucky to be in front tbh. Lamptey our former academy player is a real talent. He has a bright future. It is a shame he moved on. kellzfresh and Vesper
