We have a Kante problem on our hands.

When we have the ball, Brighton close the midfield by putting three players in there to erase Jorginhos options and strenghts. They can do that because we have Kante as partner to Jorginho and Kante offers NOTHING in our build up. We really miss Kovacic ability to carry the ball through the channels in the midfield. With Kovacic in the team Brighton would never have the balls to play this way.

What happened to RLC, I’m more concerned than frustrated

What happened? He has always been like this as I and a few others have pointed out. Off the ball he is really poor, on the ball he isn't quite as good as everyone makes out. Only people that do not see it are those still riding the hype train.

Think CHO for Ruben. Or put giroud on and move Werner wide.

With some better passing Werner would have been in a couple of times.

Werner has looked very good. Havertz hasn't got into the game yet though.

Yeah, Giroud or CHO for RLC is the answer atm. However, it is worrying how they are making Mount, Kante and Jorgi run around in circles. This is why I kind of see he logic in a DM/Rice being targeted.

Hes always been better on paper than in practice, he had a few months under Sarri (who doesn't get the credit he deserves for his work with Ruben) where everything seemed to be finally coming together for him.

Sadly it looks like back to square one, if Gallagher shines at West Brom he's gone.

Agreed.

The Ziyech injury is huge as it forces us to play mediocre RLC. We'd probably be pinning them in and forcing them to sit deeper with him on the right and Kai in the center. Ruben offers no real threat.

Pulisic and Chilwell marauding down the other side will be a dramatic difference as well. Alonso is useless in a back 4 and Mount is wasted out wide.

You formation and substitution are some of his weaknesses. I hope he makes good use of all these talents he has

Both.

                   Giroud

   Werner   Havertz    CHO

          Jorginho   Kante

This would be best at the moment.
