Share Posted July 4, 2020 as long as there is a Kante-Barkley midfield the opponent can recover pretty comfortably without any dangers of their midfield being skipped easily. no idea what jorginho has done. a player who can play quick passes forward is needed to slice through midfields. Jorginho is not perfect at that but surely better than Kante. this will be an absolute grind. It makes no sense against West Ham or against Watford. None whatsoever. And people thought Sarri was stubborn with Jorginho in that role and Kante to his right last season but I dont think its so hard to see it is absolutely a better option than Kante sitting and Barkley in the team. If FL is trying to convince people he knows what he is doing, it isn’t working. Azpi at LB as well. Fuck sakes. Must win regardless but I do think this constant omission of Jorginho is so stupid. Watford are basically playing 4dms (doucoure and hughes played as winger and no10). only deeney and sarr there to threaten. worked perfectly for watford. the only thing that makes me hopeful is that they have left out some of their best set piece targets rather than our crappy lineup.
