Popular Post! Superblue 6,372 Posted May 9, 2019 Popular Post! Share Posted May 9, 2019 I thought Jorginho was superb tonight and has been in recent games. Misplaced a couple of passes midway through the first half but pushed the team on when we were struggling and has become far more aggressive in his defending. I think it's an example of someone who will improve and be better next season for us. OneMoSalah, 1905didierblue, !Hazard! and 2 others
OneMoSalah 8,887
Jorginho best player on the park. Bar none. Ruben 2nd but really he faded after a while. Re Jorginho, for someone who is slated by fans and branded "useless defensively" he has been very good in both aspects of his game the last wee while. Long may it continue. It's two and a half weeks between the Leicester game and Baku, i think this may actually help us retain match sharpness in the interim and may even give us an edge over Arsenal. Although the friendly should without doubt be closer to home. !Hazard!

Have you seen the goals their striker scored. Absolutely quality finishes. Put that next to Higs or Giroud....worlds apart Atomiswave
Stats 7,153
Luiz switched off for the goal but tbh apart from that he was very good. Even the pundits recognized that as well. Jorginho was brilliant though. RLC was good too before he came off. Strike
Pizy 18,984
Jorginho's quality on the ball is well known. Past few games and today again he has been ridiculous at winning the ball back and playing out from deep. Big strides next season for him. No matter what type of training you do two weeks without a game will affect match sharpness, it's simply too long.

TBF, players can pick up injuries in training as well, albeit less likely than in matches. Am concerned but not too concerned given we have 1 1/2 weeks off between that and the final. BlueLyon 9,359
Shootout to amazing Jorginho tonight, credit where its due. Infact he was good for a couple games now since he got kicked in the head. Kepa, Ruben and Emerson were also good. Hopefuly we beat the crap out of arse in the final!

Just really wish we could sign some fullbacks and a striker who can score goals If we don't get a ban we must sign a top LB (Gaya?) and promote James to first Xl, if we do we should do everything we can to recall Aina for LB. The striker issue is well documented but full backs with better end product and this tie would have been won at canter even with Giroud's shit show, the amount of times Azpi and Emerson killed attacks was painful, the latter has a worse final ball than Adama. communicate
Laylabelle 9,539
Bloody hell that was hard work! So many dire moments and our play is piss poor. Yet somehow we go through on penalties! Always a nice feeling. Poor Frankfurt lot in the west. They did get lots of pats from the Chelsea lot and many did stay behind at the end. Quite a few scattered round in voice. cosmicway 1,333
We are snails up front. Imagine without Hazard, Only during Antonio's first year was there a semblence of proper buildup. Then I have to go back to Didier-Lamps years. Bosnian Blue and Atomiswave

Back when Lamps and Drogs were ours there was not even the possibility that we could lose to arsenal in a final. We would always crush them in important matches 1905didierblue
