Finished close second to Zenit Petrograd (who went out to Villareal in the previous round) and managed to eliminate Sevilla next. In the Czech republic they are top of the league, 7 points ahead of Viktoria Plzen with three matches remaining. In terms of club elo ratings we are well ahead, some 150 points. What is the verdict ? Shame that the team only has 5 midfielders. Players like Willian, Pedro, and Alonso who have been benched recently will hopefully be eager and hungry to prove a point. Even with our improved position in the PL top 4 race this is still our best and most realistic route to CL football. Getting a couple of away goals here would be fantastic.
