He had malaria and lost a lot of his muscle. Got better towards the end of the season.

Lol Really? how many did he score? 4 Between March and May?

This season he has only shown up on big occasions like against Valencia, Man City, Barcelona, Napoli, Spurs and Liverpool. The fact is we MUST move on.

IDK, I'm just saying a big reason why he wasn't as good is because he had malaria, a debilitating disease.

You think he will be here as a squad option? Try telling that to AVB and Scolari. Even under Ancelotti last season he did jack shit and we ended without a trophy.

I would rather see him out on a high by winning Champions League than seeing go after another season like last.

Of all of AVB's strong points, motivation wasn't the best of them imo. As far as Scolari goes, the less said, the better. Besides, he was out with a knee injury for a significant period during Scolari's reign and when he came back, the team's form was in shambles. Not too different was Ancelloti's last season. Only difference was he played through his illness, and recovered a semblance of full fitness only by Feb.

I agree with Warnie and Sheva here, its best to let Drogba leave with his head held high and legendary status firmly intact, if we can do the unthinkable in Munich Drogba would have won every club honour possible to win at Chelsea.

The thing is yes he is a big game player as he has shown in the last couple of months but we need players who will turn it on at home to Wigan, Villa, Fulham if we are going to be title challengers again and hand on heart, will Didier perform against those side's again? last 2 season's suggest's no.

One thing i would like to see in the Blackburn match even if it is only once is Drogba and Lukaku up front together.

What? He had about 20 assists and 15 goals that season. With malaria.

I read somewhere that Anelka said that DD won't be joining him in China.

Then I wonder where he'll go.I personally want him to go to Anzi.He will earn monster wages, which will help him finance his social causes in his country and he'll have the chance to play with players like Eto'o and others.

He does not want a one year deal. so Tata to him

you wanna say tata to our only striker for the past 8 years. and who do you think will replace him? torres is getting better but we can all see that there is something wrong wen he does not start a single big match. sturridge has miles to go, so the only option is buying some1 for another 40-50 mil. plus dd has more than proved that he is still one of the best strikers in the world and if he leaves we would have the biggest boots ever to fill. we need to phase him out and the only way that can happen is by keeping him another season, rotating dd and nando and(maybe) danny. but most importantly hoping that nando comes to form and takes the striker role for himself. at this moment we NEED DROGBA. try imagining going into the cl final without him and u will know what i mean.

Lulu could be implemented as a second choice, or even Piazon/Feruz. What we truly need to sign someone of an Anelka mould signing once more, or give Lulu a chance.

We as Chelsea fans are a sentimental bunch that grow attached to players if they are here for an extended amount of time.

Sir Alex is brilliant at moving on players whereas Chelsea isn't. When United were a one man team with Van Nistelrooy he made a giant gamble by selling him to Real Madrid.

I don't want him to go, but he probably should. If he accepts a lesser role and takes a pay cut he should stay. Maybe bigger bonues for him if he takes a paycut?

Im totally flashed of the performance of an “in form drogba“ ... really, but in the same time i have worries that no striker will have any progress as long as didier is in the team. There is nothing wrong with him but how would you feel if you are the World-Class-Striker ABC (to avoid a anti drogba, pro torres discussion) coming to chelsea and you have to play all the PL-games (the smaller ones) and the first cup-games til the big games coming up and drogba takes over, because he is (and he really is) the king of wembley. No matter how good the Striker ABC has performed recently ... you know?

This can´t be healthy for the confidence and for the squad-harmony ... and so for the future of the club.

That's a bold statement. Even if he used to be, then he isn't anymore.

I don't think I've seen anyone else with the precise timing of the jump and perfect combination of strength and height as well as the technique to regularly win headers of late. He dominated Skrtel, who the Scousers highly rate (for what that's worth) in the air.
