Marginally better??

Costa is a top-class striker which we didn't have last season, whilst Drogba is still a very good box presence.

We're much better in the striking department.

Costa is a massive upgrade but I'm not sold on how much of an impact Drogba will be. Plus José seems set on playing Torres out wide based on what we've seen so far this pre-season.

Not sure if this has already been posted.

This is a fantastic photo.... shows how well the new signings have settled in.

Good job all around !

It's good to see them blending in aswell, rather seeing the brazilians hanging with the brazilians and the Spanish with the Spanish. We have a very diverse group and it's always a warm feeling when you see them mingle with one another as if they've been friends for years. Great way to build chemistry.

If he's out for 4-6 months that means we NEED to buy another striker. Might not be a bad thing if we end up buying a younger more durable striker. Drogba can still work with the team and keep the mood up and then be our impact player at the end of the season.

Gutted he's out tomorrow. I was so looking forward to him coming back to the Bridge in a no pressure game. Also i'm going and was desperate to see him again.

I read that Jose has asked the fans to come early to the bridge because the players will be out before the match for the fans to greet them. Maybe you'll get to see him after all.

Yes, but if a calamity hits, Torres' presence does Jack shit.

Shit if this happens, I don't know what to say... http://www.marca.com/2014/08/11/en/football/international_football/1407758128.html

Must sign Cavani if this is the case or at the very least a capable backup like Bony/Remy(although Remy failed a medical here before apparently)

Should of went for both of the swansea cfs before they went to swansea...

Gomis and Bony.

I would be content with any of the three being gomis/bony/remy.

I wonder how much damaio is value at right now.

I agree with that. Is Drogba going to be any better than Ba was last year? Personally, I would take Ba. The real improvement is the most important one and that's getting a legit #1 striker for the first time in about 5 years.
