Isn't Slonina still in his previous team till end of season? If he is here, I don't know why he was not given a slightest chance yet.

He has been training with us for several weeks.

Yup Kepa has been overall surprisingly good but he was always capable of sublime saves which will boost him here in the graphic. But the problem is his errors. We do not concede many goals lately also thanks to him but the blunders he did commit cost us dearly, esp vs Fulham and ManCity we probably would have at least 2 but probably 3 or 5 points more if he had just done the basic things rights.

I think he has done absolutely fine.

Keepers make errors. Even Cech was prone to them, but now we remember him with rose tinted glasses and pretend he never made mistakes. Kepa has been very good since returning into the starting line up. Few errors and shaky moments? Yes, but probably less than the average keeper, and he has been fantastic as a shot stopper.

I'll just add - ultimate professional as well. Got a lot of labels on here, eg - soft pretty boy, etc, but stuck with it, put his head down and worked, and has always been ready when called upon.

There's a reason why Cech is considered as a legend, the guy was one of the top keepers in European Football season after season, even had that clean sheet record all those years ago.

Kepa is generally good at shot stopping but the problem is, he has a proper mistake in him.  He's sort of like Pickford for England national team, steady when called upon but when it comes down to crunch time, he's not a match winner and neither is Kepa (as we saw in those cup finals with Tuchel).

He has several times ventured into no mans land not committing, and not staying on his line resulting in several goals conceded, and then berated the defence. Thankfully not recently.

omg Im the one that thinks that he could save the goal?

I'm not going to sit here and pretend the keeper is to blame when our whole team got burned and didn't set up properly and he is left defending a 1 on 1...

Could he? Maybe. Is he expected to? No. Those situations if the keeper does save, it is largely down to a bit of luck and getting the timing just right.

Wouldn’t say he’s necessarily made it any easier for the guy to score. But suppose there is always going to be a minority who will say he should do better for everything.

I do suppose rather than blame a 100m+ player who may as well of not been there, doing his best “Jorginho impression” as people may want to put it, lets blame the GK who did everything right by coming out and trying to put the striker off.

Or rather than blame the managers kamikaze idea of leaving somebody in a position where they could be 1 v 1 at a corner also.

I suppose Kepa could have scored the chance Joao Felix hit the bar with the too so that’s his fault also?

C'mon, Kepa could as well leave the line and go for a cigarette break and it still would be hard to blame him for it.

You don't allow fast and lethal opponent to have a 1:1 situation from the middle of pitch and expect keeper to recover it. It would be a miracle if he did, it was fine he didn't.

Massive warning sign (as if we needed one) when they hit the post. Kepa did his usual shell shocked rooted to the spot act rather than actually fucking dive.

So childish, it's what we did when we were 7 or 8 years old in goal
