Weird scenario. Imagine Kepa somehow ends up getting to the Euros. Lot of talk Luis Enrique is making the Brighton GK his #1 at the Euros too.

they are both terrible. De gea is just slightly less bad. genuinely think unai simon is currently their best bet

Unai Simon is decent from what I have seen. Don't think he's outstanding, in fact none of the Spanish GKs are. They are all at a similar level. Which is crazy considering 2 or 3 years ago at the World Cup Kepa was considered to be the Spanish publics preferred choice to be their number 1 ahead of De Gea. Then years before that De Gea was seen as the best player in that position in world football. Its been weird.

Think we need to give this lad a little credit. Despite his current situation with being demoted to second choice GK... he has handled (pun inteded) the situation like a pro. Fair play... it must not have been easy.. and he hasn't held any bitter feelings towards his team mates or coaching staff. Good lad.

Agreed unlike Torres he's still (from what i can see) been a decent infulence off the pitch.

Hopefully the rumours of Sarri wanting him are true as it will suit every party.

I agree, but with the wages he is on, he is still living very nicely either way 😁😁😁

Even before he did really well with Tuchel 8 games just 2 goals conceded Jorginho own goal and Fa Cup final screamer.

He will get 10-15 games in Cups and in the league especially in January when Mendy is off. Looking forward for redemption.

I think he has the potential to be World Class, he just needs to stay under the radar and continue doing what his doing and working on his game. He is definitely a better player now compared to when Frank was around. I think people are too harsh on him at times.

As much as I don't rate him I never doubted (even during Sarri gate) that he was a good person and quite clearly well liked by his teammates.

Unlike the previous two record transfers from Spain I'll have fond memories of him despite everything and moments like this help further.

I feel the same, I never blamed him as a person for being such an erratic goalkeeper.

I still resent him for some of his catastrophic errors but i am 100% happy for him that this moment is his.

I feel like Frank's defence left him out to dry, he has his flaws but overall his a decent human and a decent keeper. Apparently he has only conceded 2 goals in his last 10 games with the 2 goals being the Jorginho own goal and FA Cup screamer. Hopefully he continues on this redemption path, if he doesn't get a career here at least he will be able to have a decent career elsewhere with confidence
