None of +100m transfers paid of lately. Hazard, Griezmann, Dembele, Coutinho, Felix... Maybe Felix in the future...

Those Spanish clubs weren't very smart, to put it kindly and look where Barcelona are at now with their finances after years of wasteful spending.

And while I don't necessarily disagree with your point there, at least Hazard and Griezmann have done it at the highest level to be worth a lot. But Grealish? He has also priced himself out of an easy/cheap move when he signed that new contract at Villa.

Felix is blowing up and only turned 21 weeks ago

tracking to over 30 goals and double digit assists on a very non offensive-minded team

here are the most expensive transfers in history adjusted for 2020 euros and pounds sterling (Fernando Torres is finally off the list even when adjusted for inflation)

Very good player for someone who has drinking problem.

But it is like with Ronaldinho or Maradona (I am not compering them lol), he can do whatever he wants off the pitch and you can not get angry with him, he is that good.

No one is expecting us to even go for him but if United gets him we are in big trouble. Look what difference Bruno makes. Him and Jack together would be pretty much unplayable.
Especially because Bruno has lots of creativity and if they get another creative mastermind, they are slowly getting Man City level of creativity.

We on the other hand play with three defensive midfielders lol.

Good deal for City. Building on their foundations and improving their squad, simple as that.

Credit to their board, Irrespective how they balance their books, they back their manager that brings in trophies. Something we are yet to see for us despite winning the biggest trophy in club football.

Their mentality? Win and “how can we improve?”

Our mentality? “We won the UCL, squad must be fine”

We do have a history of this so I am not saying this isn't happening again, however we need to see how things play out this month before complaining. Personally if we were laying out £100m for Grealish I would be going bananas.

For me, it has way more sense than spending over 100m for the guys like Felix, Dembele even Coutinho.

In February before injury he was number one candidate for POTY.

And best English player.
