Amblève. 4,995
It's just post-game emotions but I feel like I don't ever wanna see Morata play for us again. Jesus fuck, it's completely fucked that I've come to that point. DDA and El P.
zakhov 253
He's Drogba with his head, but Torres (Chelsea version) with his feet... He does make good chances for himself with his runs and strength but squanders them inevitably..
El P. 1,354
I guess, at the end, there was a reason he didn't play regularly for Juventus and Real Madrid. Perez you genius. Amblève.

Popular Post! Sir Mikel OBE 4,920 Posted January 3, 2018 Popular Post! Share Posted January 3, 2018 The saddest thing is, when he was through on goal for the first goal, you just KNEW he wasn't going to score. Never thought he would completely miss the target all together though. Laylabelle, El P., Hybrid Angel and 9 others
robsblubot 3,595
Again also mad with him for missing 3 1v1s, but just the silver lining here: he made great runs and plays to be able to get to up to 3 1v1s. my point is that other players wouldn’t have scored either because they perhaps wouldn’t have been in those positions. At least not 3 times. ^^ when strikers are off, esp in the same game, the trend usually follows. Same when they are on, hence why not subbing scorers. Milan 17,957
We are screwed in the Champions League against Barcelona, not one doubt after today. They will be games where we have to take every single opportunity, because we won't have many. But this season we are wasting our chances for fun. kellzfresh

Is that a lit to ask for when you are spending 50m plus on a striker...... are we really that desperate that we have to settle for a striker who makes good runs but doesn't finish them. We are one of the biggest clubs in Europe ffs. kellzfresh

There is no comparison between Torres and Morata, Torres took about 6 months to get his first Chelsea goal, Morata took about 10 minutes. Moratas finishing shadows a match where he did everything else to a decent standard. Ultimately you judge strikers on goals so that won't be talked about and after the chances he had rightly so but hes not even on the same page as Torres. Michy seems the better finisher with his feet but ultimately inferior with his overall hold up and link up play.. not sure playing alongside Morata will guarantee goals.. I'd rather put Pedro up front, dude can score from anywhere...

While other players go through same patches while producing little to nothing. ^^They were not sitters - it’s not a sitter when you are the one who creates the chance... Pizy 18,908
Only reason I'm not raging about him is that he has been scoring this season. But FFS, you're main #9 who cost as much as he did needs to score at least the majority of his 1v1's. Missing one every now and then is fine. Missing nearly all of them is ridiculous. Diego Costa would've had a hat-trick today it must be said. The likes of Kane, Aguero, or Salah bury those chances. Morata has a mental block and his sloppiness has cost us 3 massive points there. Does anyone on here remember a worse performance by a Chelsea striker in all their years of watching the club ? Nope. Genuinely. The first one-on-one, he had so much time to finish. The second one, to be fair the defender did well to narrow the angle but even so, any striker worth their salt puts the ball across the goalkeeper rather than going near post. But the third one. Jesus. It's sitting up perfectly for him. He's got the time to choose if he wants to dink it, go with his laces, side-foot it. So he decides to fucking toe-poke it straight at the keeper. He seriously needs to take a long, hard look, because I don't see him lasting another 18 months in this league. Not cut out for it. Give the chance that Torres scored against Barcelona to Morata and we would have come crashing out of the 2012 Champions League
