Scored a beauty on Saturday and while I wouldn't recommend someone to shoot from the position that he was in, it's nice for a change to see a player take a shot from distance and score after watching the incessant amount of passing and trying to walk the ball into the net last season.

Tomori will turn out to be an awesome player for us, baring any nasty injuries he can game in any poition in defence, Has the speed and power. Young too.....he is a keeper thats for sure. Him and Rudi along with Chris will be good in a back 3. That way we can put Emerson and Recce as wingbacks....can you imagine that? Sounds lovely to me. Power speed and fresh energy. Not Alonso and Azpi, they cant do it consistently no more.

And he has technique. He is in my opinion better than Christensen potential wise. Sadly, he injured Christensen though...

Fikayo Tomori could be on his way to a new deal at Chelsea according to Gazzetta dello Sport, with the Italian paper suggesting the Blues will offer the defender a contract running all the way to 2024.

Callum Hudson-Odoi signed a deal of the same length last week, while Tomori has found himself thrust into the first team this season, starting the club's last three Premier League games.

I expected this season Tammy and Mount to succeed because I felt the opportunities would be there for both with the ban and the injuries we had (although both have pleasantly surpassed what I expected from them this early), but I didn't believe Tomori would get much of a chance this season given the centre back options we had at our disposal.

Lampard needs a lot of credit firstly for letting Luiz leave, to open up a 4th spot in the squad for Tomori. There will be times this season we'll miss his experience but, as I've posted before, Lamps has chosen to build the long term foundations at the club over short term fixes. He also deserves some credit for having the bottle to reward players based on their effort and dedication in training. It's refreshing and will push these players on hugely with their development because no one's place is guaranteed and the hard work needs maintaining.

But once that spot was opened up huge credit to Tomori for forcing his way in. He's definitely ahead of Zouma now and when Rudiger is fit, I believe he'll be ahead of Christensen in the pecking order too. He has all the attributes to be a genuine top class defender and he's very comfortable on the ball as a bonus, he just needs experience now. 

Very, very impressed with him and if these youngsters continue to develop the way they have started, by the end of the season they could well have filled some huge holes in our team which were there last season.

Partially agree above. Frank had no obligation to be forthcoming with Luiz though. The role that zouma has now could’ve been done by Luiz - couldn’t care less how happy he would be.

regarding tomori, even as someone who likes what Alonso does, I also see him as a quirky LB, but I’m far less worried about him in LB because of tomori. I guess that says it all.

It's been a rather shit start to the season, but Abraham, Mount and Tomori have all been "worth it", if you catch my meaning. We have a real gem here. He should be starting alongside Rudiger.

Yeah I think this analysis might come true. 

Tomori has more potential then ac. 

Think rudgier and tomori will form a great partnership.
