John Terry

lol at the comments... it's really irrelevant whether Terry touched the football or not - his actions made the goal.

Bravery, athleticism (?!), and technique all in a split of a second....I'd just thank him for the 3 points. :)

BTW, a team becomes dangerous (capable of winning silverware) when it wins matches when not playing well; when it finds ways to win a match.

Liverpool got Gerrard, City got Kompany and those 2 are clearly doing well this season partly because of that, we are lucky we got Terry atm. Look at Arsenal, where their captain is on the bench and continually injured and will most likely leave this summer(Vermalen) and MU who their captains had already admitted he want to leave and continue putting in shockers every match like yesterday.

I don't think it was John's fault, cech should've done better. He keeps confusing defenders by coming out for the ball and never catching it or punch it. He keeps making the same mistake, that's his only weakness.

If it was Luiz in the same situation, people would call for his head by now.

John did a terrible job marking him. Period. Even if Cech was also not brilliant in that situation that doesnt make the fact that Terry was also at fault less.

Terry's defending for the goal conceded was just piss poor, especially after the high standards he has set this season. As I mentioned in the Cech's thread, both of them were at fault and in Terry's case, he should done his job properly, mark Chedjou and don't give them any chance to score but we did and against a team that was rather ordinary. Ugh!

Defender will makes mistakes, i am not worry about that.

We defended quite well in general

That is true but not an excuse for the goal conceded, certainly not in the manner we allowed that to happen. If you're gonna concede, then make sure the opposition have to work extremely hard for it, make them earn it if you like and don't give them any easy ones to score. Chedjou's goal yesterday was such a preventable goal had Terry and Cech done their job properly.

He should have stayed with his man. Don't know what he was doing. Even in the position he was, he could have cleared it had he just even been aware. But he simply thought cech would xome out. Infact sont see why he sint. It was 4 yards from the goal and with cech coming out a couple, it was foolish not to come. Still expected better of JT.
