Polo7 3,496
I also wonder why managers like Ancelotti,Klopp, Guardiola are well loved despite having recent success (since that's what you are implying with wenger comment i.e not seen as a threat). perhaps because they conduct themselves in a dignified manner and play attractive football.Oh so its a popularity contest? Shit, all this time I thought it was about winning matches. What is this Xfactor? The shit people come out with. Cringe worthy!
Fernando 6,743
this here is such a happy family of "supporters" the last couple of pages is such a melee. every1 attacking every1. It's because we lost. A lot of little kids here are left feeling depressed, angry, confuse and all that. Has been a while since we won nothing in a season.Even in shit seasons we won something, but what the heck that's how this sport is. I also wonder why managers like Ancelotti,Klopp, Guardiola are well loved despite having recent success (since that's what you are implying with wenger comment i.e not seen as a threat). perhaps because they conduct themselves in a dignified manner and play attractive football.I will vouch for this, we was a more likable team under Carlo. That first season brought massive respect towards us. Pity what happened to him second season. He should have had the money that AVB, RDM and Mourinho are getting to rebuild the team. Roman took the juice punch out of him and left him to dry. smh. Shaan, zolayes and didierforever

Exactly. Most of the non Chelsea or utd fans were rooting for us to pipe Man utd to the league title because of ancelotti. He's a model professional and total gentleman. Popular Post! Polo7 3,496 Posted May 4, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted May 4, 2014 Carlo wins things without making ememies But Carlo is at Real Madrid, just like how Mata is at United. Why cry about things that cant change? Mourinho may be harsh at times, he may make a lot of enemies and yes he makes mistakes but he is the most passionate manager we have had in a long time. I dont get why people are complaining about every little thing. We just made 3rd last season and got knocked out the group stages of the Champs league. Theres been a big improvement this year and next year can only get better. Whats the problem? Why does it matter now that no-one else likes Jose? It didnt matter when he was winning trophies. What a fickle bunch of fans we have here. Only a matter of time before we win something and all those doubters will come running back. Popular Post! Joker10 946 Posted May 4, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted May 4, 2014 How dare you! We should be winning the title and the champions league every season! We want a better manager, like Jurgen Klopp who has won sooooo many trophies this season. We deserve better. /end sarcasm. The fact is when you play dire football and when you play like Norwich or Sunderland against good teams, trophies are expected. That is the nature of the beast, when your football style is shit and all you care about is result then trophies is only measure of success at that point. If you play good and sustainable football then you have other ways to measure success. For example it gives you optimism for next season, and at a club like Chelsea with so much resources you expect it to be fixed. I don't believe parking the bus and being ultra conservative against any decent sides is a sustainable approach. It is a reason why we have dropped so much points against regulation contenders. Its difficult switching your style in such an extreme way, it makes almost impossible to have an organized and cohesive unit on the pitch. It is why we can't create for shit and why some are wondering what do the team do at practice because it doesn't look like we practice passing and building attacks. Sunderland and Norwich have literally given us a taste of our own medicines. It doesn't take a master class tactician to play that style. Finally it also hinders the manager ability to identify the team weakness. For example after listening to him this week i am not sure if he knows this team weaknesses. For example his comments on Ramires-Matic partnership for next season was weird, Ramires has his uses but being a Chelsea regular is not one of them. Yeah we have a striker issue, we all know this but we have other holes and this point i am not sure if Mou knows this. So i truly cant say if this season has given Mou the opportunity to access the team weakness and identify its needs. btw good football for me does not mean a lot of goals or sexy football. For me it is something we can build on, i am not sure what we can build on the way we have played. Yes, I would have been happy and celebrated the victory as a fan of course but I would never accept or agree with Jose's method and way of doing things regardless of the trophies. You can be successful without being a complete twat ala Ancelotti, Klopp,Guardiola et al.
Popular Post! dee25 1,044 Posted May 4, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted May 4, 2014 I think it's gotten to the point where a lot of the reactions to the criticisms of Mourinho are just as knee-jerk as some of the criticisms itself. I admit that a few of the posts I've read on here slating Mourinho have been over the top, but at the same time there're some that have been legitimate criticisms. The problem I'm seeing here is that regardless of whether there're unreasonable or valid, any criticism of Mourinho is being met with angry accusations of being a glory hunter. This is exactly the same thing some members did in the beginning of the season when a few were saying that Oscar doesn't give us enough creativity and shouldn't be played in the number 10 position ahead of Mata. It was the same kind of reaction.......... "mata fanboy", "plastic fan" "support the club not the player".It's normal to respond angrily to unpopular opinions (I'm not excused from that myself) but to start making accusations and calling lionsden or whoever, a plastic supporter just because they dare to hold a contrasting opinion from the normative thinking, crosses the line of reason.I don't agree with everything Lionsden or MrExcalibur have said but I just think it's ridiculous that they're being treated with so little civility by a few on here when really, they haven't said anything so outrageous to warrant that kind of treatment. It's not like they've said "Mourinho will be the death of Chelsea. Sack him now". What they've said is that Mourinho has certain flaws that they don't like and they've been brave enough to verbalize them rather than follow the flock. Imo I think what we've seen in the champions league this season isn't really the "death of tika taka" but what can happen when a coach isn't flexible and when a coach prescribes too rigidly to one type of system. Mourinho needs to evolve as a coach and he needs to evolve his tactics. If saying so makes me a shit supporter, then ya'll can kiss my ass. The Chels 2,502
He might be controversial but MrExcalibur is stating facts. Mourinho is despised by other rival fans. Just look at the comments on skysports and goal for instance when we lost our match against Atletico. People rejoice at us failing. I am not bothered because I don't care what other people think. But he is spot on.Wenger has not won anything for years at Arsenal but like people have said he has done a brilliant job over the years when you consider the resources they have compared to Mourinho. Like it or not it does look like Wenger will win a trophy this season with Mourinho trophyless. But I was looking the reactions when we lost against Sunderland, Atletico and compared it with teams such as Arsenal and he lost much more respect when he slated Wenger. Other fans/teams just hate us/Mourinho. I also think that is part of the reason Enrique of Liverpool made that jibe against us when we lost to Atletico.Mourinho is generally hated by non-Chelsea fans. I respect him as I think he is a world class manager even though some of his antics annoys me. But just wanted to state that people need to stop casually throwing around him being a "fake fan". Comments like that. He may be controversial but his aforementioned post is spot on. Can't see how others disagree. To be fair SAF was also widely hated. Blue Armour 4,759
I'm still sorry Carlo leftI was thinking the same too...now a lot of fans wish he was back here...But thing is, back in 2010 when Inter knocked us out of the CL, many people were feeling the same way for Mourinho.Guess the grass is always greener on the other side?Anyway we are here, and I hope just for once, the current manager stays here for a bloody long time.
