Barbara 15,149
I blame him for not using his bench a lot, this results in a lot of rusty players on the pitch at the same time.I'm not saying they should even start, but sometimes the game is over since HT and Mourinho won't make a change till the 85th minute.I don't... some players like Luis and Zouma have in general played very little this season (Luis went weeks without playing) and they were very decent in their presentations. Luis made a few mistakes, but Zouma has been brilliant in most matches he's played. And this is a second division team, the should do better regardless of how often they play... they practice everyday! Rusty is one thing, toothless bottlers is something else. darrus

It's unreasonable to expect someone to play once in 2 months and play at a high level.Zouma might be an exception, but not everyone can be like him. Barbara 15,149
Thing is though, Mourinho appears to have one set of rules for one group of players and another for the other group.or the thing is he knows exactly which players he can really count on and which he can't.He could have come with all tactics wrong - the players shouldn't let that happen. As if players were robots and followed strictly what managers say. He's to blame for some things, sure, but the fact that bunch allowed Bradford to score FOUR goals in the second half have more to do with their very common lack of interest, lack of winning spirit, being complacent. Mourinho says he doesn't have complacency in the team. It's a lie and he knows it. We have a bunch of accommodated players. Many of them featured today. Who decides what is unfair? You or him?If he feels he has a bunch of bottlers that won't get the job done or he doesn't trust technically or tactically he'll make a decision. It may be unfair in your book, it doesn't make it universally unfair. He doesn't drop Iva because he doesn't believe Luís can handle it and because Iva can make a million mistakes a match, the guy never stops fighting. Who else hasn't he dropped? He started Zouma a couple of weeks ago, I'm sure he'll do it again in the League, he won't throw the boy there and he has to try to recover Cahill (although for me he's a lost case since the beginning). You don't know his reasons. If he has 'untouchables' for the right reasons, it's his prerogative. Every fan here would play X instead of Y, does it make one group unfair? Please, Jason, that's presumption and opinion, nothing beyond that. Nobody has been treated unfair because that would be a whole different thing. The players that he trusts or that can do a half job are kept, the others he knows won't respond well. As they haven't - regardless of how much they played. Azpili hit the ground last season, Zouma has been very good every time he played this season and sometimes they were months apart. Even Luís played well given little time and some considered Mikel's appearances last month good as well. Those players have had very limited time... they are paid to do a job, they won't be sharp, but they should be able to play a match of football decently. MrBlueGuy 1,552
Yeah but it's still not exactly an excuse to treat players unfairly.Fairness doesn't exist in football mate, never did. Wenger for example with Podolski, scored 2 in 1 match, benched the next. Same with Pep, Shquiri(speling) plays well=> benched anyway eventually had to leave. No manager is truly fair in football, no one admits it but as a human, naturally they all have their favorite. For example it is clear that Ramires was a Jose favorite last season, played badly yet still being used as starters in many other games. It is the same this year with Cahill.Even Sir Alex wasn't fair with everyone, Pogba the clearest example. He insisted on playing the likes of Cleverley, Anderson...etc
Tomo 21,751
I honestly don't understand why some members get so offended and upset by the Mourinho criticism. There isn't a single manager of a club who isn't being criticised by a section of supporters right now. It's happening at every club in every sport. No manager is off limits. This is the same manager who routinely criticises Chelsea supporters and embarrasses them in the media and people are complaining about some forum posts. You couldn't make it up.The bottom line is mate when people build a legacy at a club and become legends they get cut more slack compared to others. Dalglish s awful transfers and dinosaur management set Liverpool back years yet he is still a hero, any other Liverpool manager that loses at home to Wigan, WBA and Fulham in the space of a month would have got hounded out of An field. Shearer with Newcastle did a terrible job and relegated them but is still a hero.Even today if you look at the Cech thread it's relievely quiet despite the fact he shipped 4 vs a league one side, if Tibo was in goal today you and me both know he wouldn't have been afforded the same leeway. Also why are there rules for some but not others. Lampard get dog-abuse for scoring a goal despite 10+ years of loyal service. If the fans could say those things to Lampard based on 1 goal what rules Mourinho out of their criticism. For example last Wed, no one is happy with his negative attitude/tactic and unjustified criticism of the fans. But we still praise him? then why would he correct those faults? when no one is there to criticise, so obvious to him it means it is OK to carry on doing it. Tibo couldn't have done much about the goals he has conceded this season yet it hasn't stopped a lot of people clamouring for Cech s return.Infact apart from Term ans a couple of others not many were that bothered about Lamps going City until the truth started to unravel.
