Tactical decision. He probably wanted CB on the bench and that's why we had Guehi in the squad. Can you imagine problems when everyone is fit? Let's say for example Kepa, Emerson, Rudiger, Tomori, Azpilicueta, Kante, Jorginho, Mount, Willian, CHO, Abraham starting 11. Willy, Christensen, James, Kovacic, RLC, Pulisic and Michy bench. That leaves Alonso, Zouma, Barkley, Pedro and Giroud out of the squad

I'd imagine Lampard could think of far worse problems than having that level of squad depth.

Pedro's sub performance today should be of no surprise considering how little he's played over the last month or so. But yeah, it does feel like his time is coming to an end here, especially if Willian continue to do what's asked of him by Lampard.

His decline was bizarrely rapid. Seems like after that season he genuinely dropped from an 85 rating to a 70 

I've said it a few times but we should be upgrading both Pedro and Willian next summer. Strength in depth is what will move us forward.

Think if he goes so he can play every week at the latter stage of his career it makes sense.

Hes been a good servant here if I am honest, a top professional, as well as throughout his career with Barca so if he wants to go to play every week and its fine with the club, he will go with the clubs blessing.

We are moving forward with younger guys and a younger manager. He will understand that having seen something similar at Barca with the likes of Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Deco etc all leaving around his age too. 

His experience, attitude, how he progress as a player from a young guy to a top top player as well as what hes won throughout his career, will definitely have helped or rubbed off on some of the younger guys here and I am sure when he goes a bad word wont be said.
