oldportblue 547
if we end up with: falcao, begovic, aranguiz and pedro as our summer transfer business I would be very pleased. Throw in a stones/otamendi and i'd be over the moon
BlueLyon 9,359
All said, Pedro is quite good player, personaly I never liked him because he looks and acts like proper cunt on the pitch, diving, complaining, etc etc. but to be fair, he is good player. Was underrated under Pep indeed. But he is also one of the players that is tailor made for their play and the teammates he had. Iniesta, Messi, Xavi, Villa made him that great. The way those were passing to each other, making brilliant runs and putting each other in goalscoring situations with through balls was perfect for Pedro.Something Eden sure can do here, but Willian/Oscar is different type of player. Our players positioning, movement, runs in open space, through balls etc are generaly very very poor. We had some moments, but putting whole season together, Willian and Oscar looked clueless many times, they cant position themselves well, we dont make enough through balls. And that is the system Pedro truly excells in. Take the new spain in equation, he isnt as good with Costa, Koke, Cesc,...as he was with Xavi, Villa. But he can score, he is decently fast, hard worker and probably eager to prove himself. Like I said, PL could be piece of cake if we get Hazard, Costa and Pedro all scoring on regular basis. But CL is another beast.

kellzfresh 7,229
According to Mirror, Pedro will be a Chelsea player in the next 48 hours. #CFCNot yet. It'll only happen after the election in my opinion
MrBlueGuy 1,552
Don't understand why everyone is drooling over this signing, he is gonna be shown up here on the right side where he virtually never played in his career before as he always played on the left. Getting double figures for the Barcelona side is nothing special if you are above average and especially having some of the best supporting players in history in their prime playing with you(Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and others)He might surprises us and turn out to be a Sanchez but I really doubt it, in fact he has regressed so much since 2011 that Barcelona didn't even care if his clause got down from 180m to 30m. The guy that scored in the CL final is long gone now, could see we getting a more clinical but slower Navas, ultimately a Remy of midfield and won't improve our 11 that much. CHOULO19 24,332
So you think Thibo,Hazard and Costa are proper Chelsea now ala JT and Drogba? hilarious. If a big club like Barca,Real or bayern make an offer than the club cannot refuse best believe the transfer will happen. As for Terry, He might be one of the rare exceptions simply due to his status at the club but let's not forget he nearly joined City a couple of years ago.Not that it will ever happen now because he's too old but I doubt the club would reject a ridiculous offer for JT from another club. Now JT turning down the offer is what I have no doubt about whatsoever and the reason he's one of the rare exception.No. Where did I say that?! Simply, the best interest of Thibo, Hazard and Costa is to stay at Chelsea. None of them have anything to gain by leaving Chelsea, even to Madrid, Barca of Bayern where they won't be as influential as they are here. Also, there is literally no offer that Chelsea can't refuse. It's always a risk gain analysis. For example, there are nonoffers we can't refuse from utd for Hazard. No matter how high the number we will refuse. Same goes for a lot of big clubs hence why I thought your original suggestion that any player has a price is ridiculous. Even smaller clubs can refuse, remember Modric?

RhesusReus 219
He'll get plenty of chances. For those claiming that getting double figures goals is easy because of Messi and Iniesta.Well:Hazard created 100 chances; Messi 93.Cesc created 93 chances; Iniesta 20, Rakitic 33, Neymar 53.Basically, Hazard and Cesc alone created more chances than the entire Barcelona attacking unit combined. He won't be starved at Chelsea. If Schurrle hadn't been dog shit to the start the season and ill, he would have been still with us because he would have scored 15 goals easy. Remember when he missed wide open net twice against Sporting?Pedro is a good sigining. Just not a great one that will push us into the elite bracket. We'll still be able to compete, but will need to have perfect performances against Barca and Bayern if we meet in the champions league. That's what's a little disappointing about the signing. Coming off the back of a magnificent WC, he was great in our first half dozen matches and then when into Kalou-mode.

Blue Colored Sky 1,807
According to https://twitter.com/LucaMattiacciBarca received offers from Chelsea and Arsenal for Pedro, exceeding 25m€. Player's leaving depends where he can get enough minutes.Again, take it as you want.Joining the discussion IMO Pedro would be a starter here.
