Petr Cech insists he is staying at Chelsea and is ready to fight for the No.1 spot in Jose Mourinho's starting XI. (Skysports)
Courtois tried to get an easy ride with the whole its unhealthy to have 2 top keepers in a team talk......what a shame Cech is a warrior.

Cech is a veteran. He knows exactly what to say and he could be sat in front of a contract with PSG, pen in his hand and he would know that's the right thing to say.

Not sure why you're having a go at Courtois. The guy has worked his bollocks off and exceeded every expectation to the point he has demonstrated he is the form young keeper in Europe right now, behind only Neuer.

Lollichon is an innovator. He might not be well known with fans but he's famous all over the world when it comes to the coaching department . He's held a number of workshops where he talks about his methods and so on. We really shouldn't lose him, no matter how good Silvinio is.

Lollichon is an exceptional goalkeeping coach, he must be one of the best in the business. Just look at how Cech went from a young guy to one of the world's most consistent and best goalkeepers from when he first signed and even now he still is up there and definitely was the best GK in the PL last year.

Players improve under excellent coaches. Sure Cech was a talented goalkeeper but you can't feel he hasn't been helped to improve his reflexes, decision making, handling and distribution as well by Lollichon with his excellent and unique goalkeeper training. Its hard to find coaches and staff that are up there with the best so even if we lose Cech we must keep Lollichon, Courtois could get even better under his guidance.

They have similar statistics but the one big difference in their abilities is that aerially Cech looks weak whereas Courtois looks strong and imposing.

This sounds like Cech might be sold:

Mourinho said: "Petr is ready to fight for his position but Thibaut is the best young goalkeeper in the world, no doubts about that.

"They will fight and for me it’s a good problem to have to make a decision.

"We are a club that wants to be strong and wants to have a real possibility of competing for trophies and we want competition for places.

"But I know that Mark Schwarzer is a very good keeper, very stable and a good man, completely ready to be our second goalkeeper like he was last season and to give positive performances if we need him to play.

"So if he’s our second goalkeeper, we will feel very safe with him."

Be interesting to see how this one pans out.

Let Cech go, then a few years bring him back to be our new Mark Schwarzer, when he's at that level he won't mind being our #2 and will retire him and possibly even work in the club after he retires from playing.

Best plan imo.

I love this plan!!

Some people think Cech has lost his presence in the box, so this stat will surprise some people: His catch success last season was 100%.

Courtois' catch success last season was 96%.

Cech conceded a goal every 128 minutes, Courtois conceded every 139 minutes.

Courtois made 1.9 saves per game, Cech 2.4.

And finally, Cech's save percentage was 77%, Courtois' was 74%.

For me there's no easy answer to this situation unfortunately Cech has been a true hero to the club and an all around great guy no matter how you slice it losing him will be devastating to me :(

A lot of people will say Drogba this and Drogba that but Cech was our true hero in that Champions League campaign that we won, without him we would have been buried and I don't personally think he has loss his stuff just yet.
