I do agree he could play games like hull, but overall despite how useful he is in creating chances, there is no way he can play in double pivot. Maybe in 3 man midfield, yes, but then Pedro must come off and we lose speed and his high pressing. And Cesc didnt lose spot instantly. Last year he was dreadful (most were), in summer Conte decided he doesnt suit the system and he benched himi. I have full trust in Conte when he picks the players based on his system and not by name or who and how they played before...so far, Conte used Cesc brilliantly. We have defensive stability, but he brings him in games where we need something extra and so far its paying off. What I dont get, we are first in league by nice difference, Matic for all his flaws is absolutely brilliant in defense and yet people talk shit of his contribution and want Cesc to start games who is proven that he is not mobile enough. Thank God for a manager. You do have to admit Cesc has been on amazing form though. Can't keep him off soo much.

Gilvorak 3,734
Better start tomorrow. Matic & Kante will get exposed in another big game.

We need to play 3-5-2 with Matic and N'Golo as DM's and Cesc as playmaker.  If we play 3-4-3, I can't see us winning. kellzfresh
Sideshow Luiz 2,310
Cesc is so important for us. Â Even if it's off the bench. Â When he comes in he completely settles the midfield down. Â No one else can do what he does. Â He offers us a real change, not just like for like.
LAM09 7,051
He has to start against Arsenal IMO. Hope Conte feels the same.
BlueLyon 9,359
Maybe its just a placebo effect, but I do think he is tiny bit quicker in his reactions and loses the ball fewer times than before. There were some moments in pool game where he released the ball very quickly and either made good pass or got fouled. He also looks slimmer, doesnt he? Blue Armour 4,439
Have to mention at least a word about the professionalism of this man. Not playing as often as before, coming on a sub against his old club, and then shows good composure to put the ball in the back of the net. Subdued celebrations, but still kept going forward to create chances.
Leif 6,006
He deserves to be vice captain. Beyond Terry, he is our best leader. You look across to your teammate Cesc, and you see a player you want to live up to and emulate. You don't really feel the same way with Luiz or Azpi regardless of their passion & dedication. Especially with how he's on the bench now, yet still being in our top 5 most crucial players, it'd be a nice touch for him to come on and get the arm band. Popular Post! CHOULO19 24,332 Posted February 5, 2017 Popular Post! Share Posted February 5, 2017 Genuinely upset by how underrated that goal was. Yes, it was a huge mistake by Petr, but that finish was nothing short of world class! Great news for Chelsea's squad depth. Even though he hasn't been a regular starter, Chelsea never would've been in this position without him. His contributions off the bench and whenever he's been given the chance to start have been stellar. He's also one of the few big personalities and well-spoken players Chelsea possess. I can't imagine him not being respected and held in high esteem by his peers. I think Conte would do well to promote him to vice-captain. Popular Post! xPetrCechx 13,570 Posted February 25, 2017 Popular Post! Share Posted February 25, 2017 Asked if he sees himself at Chelsea next season, he said: "100 per cent. I am not thinking about anything else than challenging myself here. "Sometimes it's so easy, you don't play two games, you get frustrated and upset and want to move somewhere else, but for me it's the opposite; I want to challenge myself. "It's been shown in many games this year, even when I have come on for five minutes, I have done something to make a change in the team," he said. "Now I am playing much more than at the start of the season and hopefully I am changing the manager's mind a little bit and can get many more starts." http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/10780361/cesc-fabregas-says-he-is-100-per-cent-staying-at-chelsea OhForAGreavsie, King11Didier, dimmas and 4 others
Fernando 6,585
Despite the good game and goal he still remains a flat truck bully for me Ala Arsenal. Best against the smaller team. Against the top team someone else will do.

Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
Idólo. Fabregas' contributions have been Dzeko-lite in City's 2014 PL Title win. (I'd say both Fabregas & Pedro combined). He's a fantastic end-product machine, and getting players of his quality to accept Squad Roles are a dime a dozen. Also, Kante and Fabregas were meant to play together. kellzfresh
