Ze Mario 638
Schurrle, willian, costa, and any other players who'll benefit from this transferBut you forget Salah, who'll create great scale havoc with his combination with Fab4. Cant wait for next season! Rambo and Redondo

Special Juan 28,141
He's never been one for pace but his eye for a pass is just as good. He will open up defences with that.
Pizy 18,907
He'll be the ultimate "small club" slayer I think in addition to being a key player in the big games. He's going to put chance after chance on a plate for the players in front of him. Hell, maybe even Torres can score a few if he stays. sodasys, The Skipper, Starman60 and 1 other

Spike 12,049
All jokes aside, am sure I'm not the only one who is intrigued to see how Mourinho deploys Fabregas and how he adapts to playing for us next season. I mean after all, this is a player whose way of playing and ideas of how the game should be played is totally different to that of Mourinho. It sounds cliche but it's like beauty and the beast thing. Moreover, Fabregas isn't exactly one who is blessed with great physical attributes like pace, stamina and his tactical discipline and workrate aren't the best either, things that Mourinho obviously values greatly in his setup. If anything, this all looks like the case with Mata again. That being said, since we are buying a player with quality for a position that we desperately need to fix and Mourinho approving it(hopefully!), then he clearly sees Fabregas as a player he can improve on and work in his system. Anyway all in all, just can't help but to feel weird and strange about this transfer given the history involved between us, Fabregas and Arsenal and even Mourinho himself with Fabregas/Barca. And not to mention, the points stated above. Then again, the last Arsenal player we signed didn't do too badly, did he?Implying that Xabi Alonso (Jose's flogging boy and work horse) is gifted with physical attributes. I'm sure Cesc will do just fine, a little structure under Mou won't suddenly turn him into a clown.
Popular Post! Superblue 6,372 Posted June 12, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 12, 2014 Big signing IMO, a few people are questioning if he is a 'Mourinho' player and a few also worried his Barcelona form wasn't up to the standard of his Arsenal form. For me to answer both these questions - his passing is so direct. Firstly with regards to Barcelona, coming through their academy he was always going to be technically excellent but his time in England and the Premier League molded him into a direct player, always looking to pass forward and viewing the importance of creating chances over keeping possession. This obviously isn't how Barcelona play, and I think he struggled to adapt to their slow approach and Barca didn't embrace his more direct style (he could have actually provided them with a 'plan b' which Barca are regularly criticised as not having)Now onto whether he is a 'Mourinho' player, at the start of the season it seemed that Jose wanted to play with a team that press high and look to win the ball back higher up the pitch, but when also under the cosh in games could counter and break at great speed. One of the problems with this was a lack of striker to finish off chances, and the other IMO was the lack of a player in the middle of the park who could dictate this style. Fabregas will provide this with his long pass ability and directness to his play. Teams will be scared shitless to attack us too much because he can pick a ball over the top for the likes of Hazard, Schurrle, Willian and hopefully Costa, and he will also provide a cutting edge to our play in and around the penalty area when teams are defending deeper.Superb signing, look forward to seeing him play for us. As I've said many times before, all the top players have an element of 'cuntishness' about them and I think we were missing one or two like this last season. Also with the exception of us in his first reign, Jose took a season before getting it spot on with Inter and Real Madrid. I expect the same again. This is the benefit to having a bit of stability with a manager going into his second season and knowing exactly what is needed within the squad to get us back on top.
