Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Play Cesc as number 10 and Oscar as DLP? Oscar as an option off the bench. Sign Pogba. Chelsea?
didierforever 7,349
No way Fabregas can perform like Modric for us. Always thought he's much better as a no.10, maybe Mourinho wants more competition for Oscar after last seasoncomparing fiberglass as a DLP to modric as a DLP is a slap on modric's face!!! Fernando 6,585
Oscar as an option off the bench. Sign Pogba.Well that's a little too much FM for me. If cesc is sign it will be for that cm role. He can interchange with Oscar for that number 10 spot, but cm will be his primary responsibility.

There is just no rotation, I doubt Oscar will accept that. I think Fab will play as a CM and I will be shocked if he is signed to play as a no10. Wouldn't be surprise if PSG already arranged for a deal with Oscar after WC including Lavezzi or something which is why we are interested in signing a good attacking mid as replacement. I honestly hope that is not the case though

petre.ispirescu 4,928
Fabregas for the "10" role should not be ruled out yet. Remember last summer when the media said Mata and Luiz are not in Mourinho's plans? We thought they are talking bollocks. Then the media said Mourinho offered one of Mata and Luiz to United, when Chelsea was trying to sign Rooney. We thought the same, bollocks. Therefore they were right. Now some journous say the same thing about Oscar and I'm afraid they know something, that's why I won't rule Fabregas coming here to take the "10" spot.Let's just pray Jose isn't thinking about a three man midfield with Matic, Fabregas and Ramires. Or worse..................................... Paulinho Chelsea?

LukakutoStamford 779
If we're going 4-3-3 get Witsel and be done with it. He's much better suited for Jose's style of play
drog.ba 239
Are 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 really that different if the personnel are the same, everyone will likely have the same role/responsibilities in attack/defence seanptmiller
kellzfresh 7,229
Yeah kind of this. At first i don't want him.But a Matic Fabregas pivot would be something specialMatic CescWillian Oscar HazardCostaIs just OMG worthy. He is still a bit of a cunt though, but i'll get over it.This^^I don't know if Oscar is a lock to be our starting no.10... I'm afraid fabregas is a direct threat to oscar too IMO. Unless we are changing to a 4-3-3 which is going to suit our team better IMO. Bir_CFC 3,455
Or we could just be moving to a 4-3-3.I would have thought that was obvious and really the best option since almost all our mids would be better suited and even Oscar. However, Jose seems to believe 4-2-3-1 is the best formation ever. Every interview about formations and he waxes lyrical about the 4-2-3-1.

bababoom 4,478
It's hard to judge Fabregas at Barca, for one they play in a totally different way to us, not only that but they mostly played him as a false number 9 or pushed him up top to give Messi some space... i'm going to judge him from his time at Arsenal and i honestly think he would be perfect for us, he can play next to Matic and/or in the number 10 role. His vision and passing ability is something we've been crying out for all season, in fact not only last season but for the past few years, we now have someone who can dictate tempo and play of our games. No longer will the likes of Hazard or Oscar be forced to come deep to receive the ball... Duppy Conqueror
Popular Post! Duppy Conqueror 1,537 Posted June 2, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 2, 2014 According to Barca forums, he's rather poor at covering space and closing gaps, and isn't good at supporting Busquets in the transition from attack to defense. He's basically another Mata, except in an even more vital position where workrate is needed. I'm a bit confused as to why Mou would want him, unless he wants to do a 4-3-3 which even then might be too offensive. He's not an obscure youth player we shouldn't need to rely on the opinion of fans of the club he's leaving..he played 8 years in England, mostly as a CM. He played great here. Barbara, Viper22, blu35_army and 11 others
